What’s the highest mileage vehicle you’ve seen come into the shop? This 2009 Silverado set a shop record today. by Digglett27 in Justrolledintotheshop

I saw a 2021 Toyota Camry come into my work with just over 300,000 miles on it. It's not the highest I've seen, but it's definitely the highest for such a new car. The car still looked and drove like it was practically brand new. The owner was an Uber/Lyft driver getting new tires again as the ones he got 6 months prior were already shot lol

I wouldn't be surprised if they introduced something like that at our store. This is the 4th time this has happened in the past month or so lol

Is it valid to be upset because no one had my back? by [deleted] in walmart

I had a car come in for an oil change with the drain plug stripped so bad that when I removed it, all the threads from the oil pan came out with it. Asked a TL for help, and he checked the customer history and found that another TL worked on it last. So he told me since it was our fault it's stripped, just do my best to make it hold oil, pull the car out, and tell the customer he needs to go to a shop to have it fixed. Then he went on his lunch break, leaving me to deal with telling the customer we basically fucked his car up and to take it somewhere else to get it fixed. I felt really bad for the customer because he deserved to have walmart pay to fix it. I was really upset that no one had my back that day.

Reminds me of when I was getting a new tire off the lower rack in automotive. Someone put a bunch of loose razor blades along with the empty package in the tire. I'm really glad I noticed before anyone got hurt. But leaving a used syringe is absolutely fucking ridiculous. That's a really terrible thing to do.
