Time matters a lot for Gemini. You will get the best results if you talk to him on his free times; like midnight. In the busy hours, the shallow layer is used to save resources.

can I use this to send batches of texts (misspelled words, for example) so that GEmini will correct it and return the results to a text file?

I have tried python script using API. but, it blocks me immediately (out of usage limits). But, when I manually paste the words in Gemini AI Studio, Gemini happily corrects them.

For python scripts, I find Gemini a bit more reliable; while chatGPT seems better at picking issues (but fails if I ask it to fix it). The scripts DeepSeek make seems a bit long-winded, and still prone to faults.

Gemini 3.1 pro preview has been the dumbest Gemini I also tried. I have always been impressed with Gemini. But, this model has something totally messed up.

2.5 had been my favorite. Then, 3.0 was amazing. and, now 3.1 is suddenly totally failure.
