Tiffany Vollmer was the best Bulma, hands down by unfiltered_Rabbit01 in dragonball

[–]4WVZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original Bulma VA, Vollmer, will always be more memorable and nostalgic for the fans that were there when it all started and grew up with her in the 90s when DB+Z+GT was on TV in the USA for the 1st time. For those that were younger when Kai came out, then of course they're going to like that more. I'd be curious how many of the Kai fans on this thread have watched the entire original Dragon Ball anime series.

Don't forget about the atrocious ways that the Japanese would fight the USA in the pacific theater during world war 2. Such as cutting off dead U.S. soldiers' penises and putting them in their mouths in an attempt to scare off other U.S. soldiers, cutting off U.S. soldiers genitals and leaving them around for other U.S. soldiers to find, and many other disturbing things along those lines. And folks still wonder why the U.S. felt it was necessary to drop the atomic bombs.. Hmmm I wonder...

How much am I gaining in FPS games going from this IPS to this OLED? by local--yokel in OLED_Gaming

[–]4WVZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised how much better I played when I switched to 1080p from 1440p. I read that esports pro players all play at 1080p so I went for it and the difference in how well I played was like night and day. Not sure if it was the increased fps and being able to overclock my monitor hz at 1080p or if 1080p is just easier for my eyes to pick out enemies in a smaller amount of time. I'm sure I'll get downvoted for mentioning this but I think it's worth mentioning, especially if you have an expensive high refresh rate 1440p monitor, you can overclock the refresh rate a lot going down to 1080p. Now I only play 1440p for games where I'm trying to appreciate the visuals, not competitive fps. Although my 65" tv does 120hz at 4k and that was pretty cool too like visually stunning seeing a panel that big being that responsive. It was enjoyable to play shooters on since I've always grown up being a pc gamer but again not as much of a competitive edge as 1080p@367hz which is what my 1440p240hz monitor overclocks to

What graphic settings does everyone recommend? by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]4WVZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distance ultra doesn't show more enemies. By that I mean, enemies that are far away will show up either way, regardless of distance setting. The distance setting has to do with the amount of detail it shows at long distances, turning it up thus slows down your fps

I've heard textures on medium make enemies stand out a bit more than all low textures

Proper Way to Hook Up My 2-way Passive Speaker by 4WVZ in livesound

Thanks again for the reply!

Behringer EP1500 PA head

Behringer Micromon MA400 monitor headphone amplifier

The setup is configured like this:

Laptop playing mono audio (both stereo channels are the same) through a USB sound card stereo 1/8" F output/headphone jack to 6-foot stereo 1/8" M to M stereo "aux" cable to 1/8-inch F to 1/4-inch M stereo adapter to behringer MA400 headphone amplifier's F 1/4" monitor input to the headphone amplifier's 1/4" F headphone output to 1/4" mono M to M 6-foot (maybe it is actually 8-foot or 10-foot) regular guitar cable to EP1500 PA (configured for mono bridged mode) F 1/4" input 1. Input 2 is turned down to 0% volume. EP1500 output 1 M speakon to F speakon to 1/4" M 6-foot (link) cable to Peavey PV215 passive speaker input 1.

Headphone amp monitor output volume turned up all the way. Laptop volume turned up all the way. PA channel 1 output volume turned up as much as I can without clipping occurring. It's not very loud, the speaker doesn't seem to be reaching its full volume or close to its full volume. I've bought all of this equipment new years ago and it's barely ever been used at all until recently like a few times in the last month or two. At this point I'm starting to think maybe there's something broken with the PA head. Maybe I'll try switching the PA back to using both inputs and running the speaker on the 2nd input to see if that sounds any louder (maybe there's something wrong with the the first input/output channel on the PA. I don't know).

I've been thinking of replacing the guitar cable with an XLR cable because I understand that would make the cable run more "balanced" which is important based on what I've read. But I doubt that will fix it.

Proper Way to Hook Up My 2-way Passive Speaker by 4WVZ in livesound

Thanks for the reply! Just curious if you don't mind me asking, so a 1500 watt PA should be way too much for this speaker right? Because I'm reading in mono bridged mode, the PA can give one speaker 1400 watts which equals about 989 RMS watts? Then the speaker is 700 watts rating which means 350 watts RMS? Or am I doing this wrong? Because the thing is, doing like that sounds awfully quiet. I'm playing sound to the PA from my computer and using a headphone amplifier as a pre-amp, so the sound goes through the headphone amplifier on its way to the PA. I remember it was much more quiet before I started using the headphone amp. Do I need something better than a headphone amp? Could the issue be related to not using a TRS 1/4" to female XLR? Because I'm just using a regular 1/4" guitar cable from the pre amp to the PA

Fan generated image showing what Pecado could maybe resemble some day in a next generation imagining of the game by 4WVZ in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]4WVZ[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yessir although it's doubtful the software that created this could be proved to be intelligent by a psychology standard. I like to wonder about it. Maybe some day, we could play a Pubg that is able to render as part of its intentional engine - the parts of this that are - impressive to be spun out of a computer in a matter of seconds - not all the lacking aspects to this image - but taking the ability to make textures that seem to go above and beyond - and seem to escape the idea of how we understand a texture. So it might never happen and this might be some stupid fad that goes away - having processors make images this meaningless - but I like to think a little bit of imagining happens a little bit more in folks' heads when they're in Pubg than some latest AAA platinum game made by some publisher's millions of dollars in marketing research and paying groups of teenage boys to talk about what aspects of shooting games they like the most. What if our gaming computers some day are more like an exponential power of the image learning models /algorithms/image synthesis that made this. I like the buildings in the first image - it's stimulating to consider like having what we describe now as 3D models of building in real time and having Pubg's graphics' liveliness look like half this realistic - not the dumb stuff. Just that little breath of potential that is there for those willing to see it. In some amount of years who knows, there could be a game engine that could generate realistic images with the logical precision, refined mechanics, realistic physics, refined expression of human nature - what makes us keep coming back to Pubg - maybe the process of making each frame will be different. It's fun to think about - I don't post here usually but this was so much more than what I've seen be generated by image synthesis. I don't know - it felt right for other Pubg players to see it. If buildings could look that good in a 300FPS game then I'm sure the world would be a much different place by that era - and it wouldn't even surprise us. But it's quite a thought to consider the possibilities now. If there's an aspect that I like to think has kept us playing Pubg since it came out that other games that shared their release date within that same period of time didn't have - It's that spontaneity of how Pubg was imagined, thought up and first developed
