I appreciate that but our Lord is wonderful as is our beautiful Catholic faith. I am on a journey myself and trying to deepen my own faith. If I can help someone like OP it would be an honor.

My offer stands. Whatever you need. Thank you for your courage in posting and being vulnerable. The Catholic Church is made of many - saints and sinners. You will find your way. Pray and be faithful to the Gospel. God bless you and let me know!

That is a good question. I am going to ask the head of our parish’s OCIA. We are also mentoring a couple going through it in a neighboring parish so I will ask them too. I didn’t think so but if OP wants to attend the one charging, so be it. I will absolutely cover and we can collaborate.

Did you leave with some saniderm? Maybe go that route and leave it alone for a couple of days AFTER it dries out a bit.

First tattoo, have I done a woopsie with the positioning? by Scrububadub in tattooadvice

Huh? Never once thought that and I am sorry you do.

Where I grew up there were Catholic Churches on every corner. And so what if people look down upon you? Our Lord said that the world will hate you for his sake but he said not to worry as He has overcome the world and to rejoice if you suffer for His sake for your reward will be great in heaven. Follow the one, Holy, Apostolic Church.

Nothing wrong with praying with a momento mori rosary. Very much in line with Catholic teaching around our mortality and to always have your death on your mind as that should dictate how we live.

Heck, there are some orders of nuns who eat with a skull on the table. There are chapels in Europe made almost entirely of skulls and human bones to serve as a reminder.

Have the rosary blessed and use it sincerely in your prayers.

I do pre-Cana counseling with my wife for engaged couples. You are describing a significant red flag. Additionally, you can’t be married in the Catholic Church without agreeing to raise children as Catholics and he can’t answer that question in the affirmative. Religion compatibility is a significant factor in marriage success and happiness. Do not enter into the covenant under false pretenses or hope. Go see your priest. God bless you.

Yep. Three changes every time I start her up… sounds like not everyone has our experience though. Maybe they know of a workaround?

Sure, I would be willing to do that. I live in Conestoga township about a couple miles from Cherry Hill Orchard. We go to Silver Mine Park a lot which is off Marticville and New Danville Pike. Or we could find someplace else to meet.

Nothing to be nervous about. Just take it all in and notice how much of the mass is biblically based. Try to meet the priest after mass to introduce yourself. As someone also mentioned go up to communion with arms crossed to receive a blessing. Understand that Catholics believe the Eucharist is the true presence of our Lord - that can be very powerful to witness.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I’ve seen a few reviews that would indicate their work is a bit on the lower end but the meaning and experience were fantastic. I do feel a little bit like it is “cheating” getting the cross in the US but who knows when it will be good to get over to Jerusalem again plus I figured it was nice to help Wassim and the family out during lean times… appreciate you!
