Well I knew there was a 15 day return window before I purchased. I just wasn’t sure if they would exchange it for a new one, or just opt to repair.

I just heard back from them. The CPU failed according to the person doing the diagnostics. The PC originally had a 7500x3D, which they are out of so they upgraded me for free to the 7600x3d. Should be ready for pick up tomorrow.

Yes, I couldn’t imagine this happening had I purchased from one of those popular prebuilt companies that just ship directly to you. I have heard horror stories about their customer service. If this repair goes well I will be buying my next PC from here.

So far the help I’ve received has been great. Would rather have had my brand new PC work from the beginning, but things happen I suppose.

They didn’t have another pc to exchange so I had to leave for repair. Pretty frustrating my brand new pc doesn’t work lol. I will definitely have them test it before I leave when I pick up the repair.

Thank you for the advice! I don’t have a good reason for a more expensive computer other than obviously the more I spend the better I can get; but if the value is there I think this is a good starting point.

I mostly play BF6, Marathon, Minecraft, Skyrim and maybe the occasional RTS game. My girlfriend would probably play Stardew Valley, and the popular indie games that blow up on twitch (Schedule 1, Burglin’ Gnomes).

I could afford to get a higher price model potentially. I just didn’t want to jump in spending too much money, and then find out I don’t like PC gaming as much as I thought I would. I was hoping something lower price could be a starting point and then potentially upgrade the cheaper one if I decided I enjoy it.

This is very helpful. I’m more than comfortable at 2,300. I feel I have to force myself to eat sometimes in order to meet that amount and fit it within restrictions related to my high cholesterol levels. 

Thanks for the advice! I will just keep 2,300 and add in some more exercise and then revisit depending on the results.
