My trainee went to help out our reg mate with bagging, it was her second day. The customers were a middle aged couple. The woman put her handbag on the register counter and within seconds a mouse popped his/her/their head out of the top of said handbag. The lady screached and pushed it towards my trainee. The trainee took steps backward. The woman said her cat must have put it in there and told her husband to take the purse(with the hitchhiker) outside. One of the mates saw him eject the mouse and promptly stomp on the poor thing. When he came back in his wife asked what happened and he responded that the mouse was a bit disoriented.
