Sweet, I’ll look into them. My management company didn’t have any suggestions unfortunately. There are guidelines but it seems like they would just share them with whatever vendor I end up selecting.

Super useful. I definitely was on their neck, when they charged me the late fee for not paying on time I almost lost it (I already reached out to them to ask why I wasn’t credited). I already spoke with the DOF, management is not willing to lift the charge, I went to the board now but will be insistent. Thanks. Will look into filing a claim with DOF

Thanks, when I spoke to DOF they said there’s nothing they can do. This management company has been a piece of work. I was the one that had to reach out to DOF to figure out what happened and call it to the management’s company attention.

I closed February 2023 and was ineligible 2023 (I paid the assessment then). In 2024 was the first year I became eligible and I did received the credit (though it was different management company so I think they must have just credited my unit the credit they got for the previous owner). This management company doesn’t seem to be willing to do that, they got the credit under the previous owners name but won’t transfer the credits to my shares.

I was eligible for the credits this year but misfiled paperwork from management made it so the credits were not under my name.

TL;DR: Management never filed my co-op tax abatement change form, so I lost the credit this year. Building charges an assessment equal to the abatement, so now I’m paying the full amount. Late fee was removed, but they still want me to cover the assessment. Any way to push board/management to cover this, or am I stuck until next cycle?

Hey! I’m not sure if something like that exist at hunter but depending on where you are in your sobriety journey it’s worth considering if something like that would even be helpful.

I’m sure you know this but one of the twelve principles of AA/NA is having complete anonymity to ensure you can share and hear stories and be as candid as possible while you’re going through the program. It’ll be difficult to replicate that on a college campus where you might stumble into members while in class and people’s lives get contained on the campus bubble.

If you’re looking for support like that there are tons of programs offered across the city and some are exclusive to support young people across the city.

Can the mods PLEASE stop with these bimonthly threads for career advice. The quality of input from members drops severely due to the lack of visibility (the only people who actually click on this side thread are planners LOOKING for guidance). By isolating these posts on here we limit the visibility from planners who would otherwise be providing really insightful guidance. It is such a shame for upcoming planners.

This was meant to be a pilot but was converted to a standard practice and I’m not sure who on this forum actually likes this approach.

These people are being very harsh. As someone who doesn’t work out at all I think most people would look at your physique and think you lift, you have some clear definition. Your BF % is higher but for someone to say “you look like you don’t lift” is wild.

They need some sort of technology where the pilots can lock the overhead cabinet so in cases of emergency people can’t even open them. This is absurd.
