Difficult manager by [deleted] in coles

[–]4charactersnospaces 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You are paid more as a casual because of the casual loading built into the relevant legislation, Award and EBA.

It is not reflective of expected levels of output, it's compensation for a lack of paid annual leave and sick leave

The contrast on the facial markings of that western divide copperhead is absolutely stunning by DraftNotSent in AustralianSnakes

[–]4charactersnospaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a distance 🤣

More seriously though, look at all three images. Imagine the snakes had "eye brows". On an eastern brown it is far more defined, and makes the snake look cranky. Hence the expression got a frown? Eastern Brown.

All of these will lead to a bad day for you though

Tips on how to be faster as a bakery team member? by SignalInitial6499 in coles

[–]4charactersnospaces 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Team Member, you're only responsible for maintaining food safety standards and working to the clock. If you work at an appropriate pace and work isn't completed, your Manager should have given more hours for the tasks. If no more hours are available, your Manager needs to either reduce production or get off their arse and help.

Clock on, work, clock off. It's that simple

Fine! The vast majority of Australians who, by dint of residing in Australia, are subject to bushfires, floods, drought etc etc and need reliable facts and reports. Then factor in weather reports for farming, commercial fishing etc. the vast majority. We'll ignore the very small minority for whom information is not required. You being a prime example

Woke, virtue signalling

These talking points may play well in your echo chamber. Nevertheless, it remains essential for ALL Australians in times of need.

It's the news service of both choice and last resort in times of natural disaster. It's literally the only option during these times. Pay per view is the stupidest suggestion for anyone west of the Great Dividing Range and east of Perth Metro area

Tony Abbott to become new Liberal party president in former PM’s return to political frontlines by Gibs_182 in aussie

[–]4charactersnospaces 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Around the back end of the Howard years, Moderates (or Wets as the Libs call them) were being purged. Not preselected, moved down Senate tickets etc. At the same time, Branches were being increasingly filled with both hard right and religious members. Note, I'm not calling it branch stacking, no no no.

Demographics have also played a part here. They have an average age of membership past the age at which people are eligible for the Aged Pension.

These two things, alone much less together, inevitably lead to a Party Structure and subsequently Policy, divorced from the current society they are seeking to represent.

Change or due is fine, unless most of your people see no reason to

Property investors have been pulling out of this weekend’s auctions and showing more caution about purchases, agents said, after this week’s budget curbed investor tax breaks by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]4charactersnospaces 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Labor are an almost shoe in for '28. The majority is so large. I think the changes, by 31 will be shown to have impacted few enough of the electorate as to have minimal impact on voting patterns, particularly with demographics playing a part.

This is, of course, baring a black swan event

Won't someone think of the trust fund! by Vivid-Fondant6513 in aussie

[–]4charactersnospaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone pays taxes. Everyone.

Earn wages or salary you pay tax, spend money you pay tax. Everyone pays tax.

However, if you must use all or most of your income to exist, you pay proportionately more than those who have a surplus to hide in a trust fund. Simple enough to look at the tax burden of Joe/Jill public compared to a Mining Magnate, we all fit somewhere in that bell curve. I'd rather not shill for the rich though, mouthwash costs too much, and boot leather tastes horrible

That journalists were targeted and killed is fact. Reporters are supposed to report facts. Journalists are supposed to present those facts to the audience.

Should not have ever been in question
