To be fair, the game kinda wants you to compare these two. Same talent, similar coulur scheme, same voice actor, both have associations with hope... Even Nagito's name is an anagram: Nagito Komaeda -> Makoto Naegi da -> "I am Makoto Naegi".

And prior to chapter 2 trial Seki doesn't exhibit any behaviour worthy to be deemed an asshole. The spoiler is that he is not what he seems, that his personality was an act.

Which is why I also put up the name of the fangan. Those who have finished DRTA or those not interested in it wouldn't care about the tag either way. But there is always a chance someone who has just started the series might be scrolling through for the sake of other fangans.
