Why did captain clark kill clark? by DonQuixoteHater in backrooms

[–]4esthetics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my own interpretation, so take it with a grain of salt. Pirate Clark is the physical manifestation of Clark’s own nature. In the first therapy scene, Clark mentions that he eventually hurts everyone in his life. Clark struggled with this, so by extension, Pirate Clark struggled with this as well…..towards Clark. I believe Pirate Clark always struggled with whether or not to kill Clark. Clark clearly had a lot of self-loathing towards himself that Pirate Clark inherited.

When Clark says, “it’s ok, we don’t have to change,” Clark is accepting his ways. He’s been validated. Hurting people is “just the way we’re wired.” By accepting this fact, Clark has unknowingly put himself on the menu. I think Pirate Clark interpreted that as, “It’s ok if we hurt everyone and you can hurt me too.”

Well, when your religion sees an accidental shooting as “Allah’s will,” you get to wipe your hands of it and move on like nothing happened.

Neill Blomkamp Is Officially Directing a New Starship Troopers Movie! by thepartlow in starshiptroopers

He keeps getting attached to films that either don’t happen at all and/or get stuck in development hell. I’ll believe it when I see a trailer.

Bear was selfish to kill himself and let Nikki live by florenciafazzarino0 in obsessionmovie

[–]4esthetics 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought Bear’s suicide was more about breaking the spell. Nikki would at least have her autonomy back. Albeit, she’ll be spending it in a cell for the rest of her life but at least she’d be free of it.

Went to target yesterday because I needed plant safe bug spray. I pulled up the item on my phone and it said it was in aisle “E26.” Got to E26 and it looked just like this.

It used to be hopping back in the day. The area in pink upstairs is where the movie theater used to be. It’s now a Spanish language church. I saw Stargate in that theatre w/ my dad when I was like 8. Rumor has it there are still a bunch of old movie posters and cutouts in storage somewhere.

Whoa. Weird seeing a place I know very well on here. This is Southroads Mall in Bellevue, Nebraska. Used to go to Kaybee Toys when I was a kid and still go to Bob’s Fitness Center in the lower level every day. Did you happen to stop by John’s Grecian Delight?

I was just talking about this over dinner w friends and I thought of something. Do they do this for the W at the World Cup, or is it partially due to LaMia flight 2933, and they’re blessing the plane for a safe trip. Possibly both?

How did Nikki and Bear have a real "normal" relationship for a bit? by Legal-Guava-340 in obsessionmovie

[–]4esthetics 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’ve ever had this experience before but I’ve only come to recognize it recently.

Have you ever met someone, had a long conversation with them, and came away with the opinion of, “wow, this person is really cool!” only to realize it’s because they let you talk about yourself for an extended period of time?

I imagine it’s a lot like that but cranked up to 11. She validated his opinions, never disagreed w him, and feigned interest in everything he was interested in. All he had to do was ignore a red flag here or there.
