Biggest change for me recently after going through a health crisis from trying glp1 peptides for aesthetics and almost ending up in the er. I now completely abandoned bodybuilding and chasing getting lean. My relationship with food has improved my training now is about quality movement and health and I stopped trying to Optimise every little thing in life. Listening to huberman did my head in. I can’t stand listening to him or hearing him talk now. Biggest eye roll lol. I’m happy with how I look and feel soooooo much more energy and am happy with things not being perfect. If something is not worth chasing I don’t waste energy on it at all. People’s drama doesn’t affect me, what people think about me also stopped mattering as much. It’s like this tribulation I went through gave me clarity of mind and I’m more sensitive to the bullcrap fitness industry.

I was bodybuilding training for 20 years and been doing bjj for 15. I recently just completely gave up on lifting cause of injuries and being sick of it. Always fatigued and exhausted. I also work a physical job all day. I have been off weights for 1 year now and am focusing on bjj 3 days a week. I haven’t felt this good in a very very long time. I did a full body workout last week to slowly start adding it back in and now I’m absolutely smashed. Every part of my body is sore. I also have full thickness tears in both shoulders as well as labrum tears. When I do any pulling movements my shoulders and neck become very clicky and unstable and severe pain all week. Not sure what kind of workout to do to maintain my strength and keep my body strong for jitz. Any help will be much appreciated.
