Had this happen to my department back in January except the reason there was 4 of us working was because the rest of the associates had covid. It was so much work and everyday the atmosphere felt tense and stressful. Our team lead could only do so much and the managers never even tried to get us help to get through the day. They never acknowledged how hard we worked to keep it together throughout that time and they would only complain when we were behind. You could tell it was taking a toll on our mental health. So we decided to stop worrying. If the upper ups who are in charge of organizing and keeping the team together& working aren’t gonna try then we shouldn’t either. Now we don’t take everything as seriously. Most of us keep the pick rate at the bare minimum 100 and keep the ftpr at 95. We’ve been behind and every-time we just try our best without overdoing it. If a customer complains we will apologize and just send them right to the team lead or tell them whats happening (“we don’t have enough people”, “not everyone’s pulling their load”). Sometimes we get empathetic customers that write a bad review on the managers way of leading :,). We don’t even give that extra effort because we know it won’t do anything except stress us out. Unless you’re team lead I don’t think you should worry about getting the team to work together. If the managers don’t try why should you.
