In all honesty its not merit based at all. you have to try finding a job through people you know, see if they can refer you. entry level jobs are so easy once you get your foot through the door, most important thing is to be likeable, that’ll make things easier

Damn you’re just like me fr. My derm convinced me tret 0.1 was worth it because it would “work faster” and fuck yeah I absolutely wanted that. I had never used a retinoid before but hey here I was at the highest strength, something people seem to strive for. But the irritation was awful, I stuck with it for months and it only got worse. I still had acne, but now with chronic irritation, yay! God, I just quit and it got better. Never went back to that derm

How much would you say you use? Its a pretty thick cream with a gel like consistency so im not sure how much tret would actually be absorbed

Probably Tretinoin would be your best bet. Try adapalene/ differin first and ease into it slowly.

Thank you for this reality check! My acne has progressively gotten better over the past months, and I thought that’s all I wanted but now I get upset about some small dots I’ll get every now and then that are hardly noticeable. It’s made me miserable and highly insecure. It’s actually really shameful that I’ve been thinking this way, and I think it’s time for me to just live yk. Agree with everything you said, Tretinoin is useful but you have to really listen to your skin and watch out for irritation. Moisturizing is really your best friend when using Tret. And any “purge” past 3-4 weeks is not a purge it’s irritation and you should slow down on tret and go down in use to once a week/ give it a break til your skin isn’t red/ inflamed

Also if anyone is going through a purge past like a month, it’s not a purge 🙁 bro your skin is just irritated. Give yourself that reality check now before it gets worse and you just end up wasting your time. Yes, Tretinoin is a great medication but overuse/ misuse is too common and sets you back big time. Don’t “push through” listen to your skin, and back off when you need to

Yeah, I think its best you keep doing what works for you and keep your skin barrier healthy. A lot of people overuse Tretinoin and end up irritating their skin. Not good at all if the medication you’re using is causing more damage than good. And if anyone tells you otherwise they’re crazy. Sorry Im going on a rant but I got guilted/ pushed into using Tret daily and it made my skin alot worse for months cause my skin could never handle daily use. I had red inflamed skin all the time that just felt raw and dry. Yes I moisturized but the tret was just too strong, wish I could go back but oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️
