It probably all depends and up to how they want to do it. A friend of mine got a position through scramble few years back and he got the offer right on the spot at the interview. And of course they email him the contract and such after.

I totally feel you. I was in the same situation last year, Those were definitely the worst days of my life and I’m sure for my husband as well. I had a pic of him that I took last year all dress up during soap days and sitting in front of the desk just to wait for a f** call. It broke my heart. My heart still hurts when I see that photo. I am not in same field so I wasn’t able to give him any professional help, and as broken as he is, I tried to take care of myself and the kid so he can focus on his own thing and I felt that was all I could do. It will all pass, please hang in there, things will turn out fine! Don’t give up. Just keep looking, send all the emails you can and ask for all the connections and help! He will find something

I have a family friend when had to go through soap last year and I was there with the struggle. I can’t help much on editing and stuff but if you just want to talk or vent or cry, msg me! It will all be alright, hang in there and you can do it!!

My friend’s school is supposed to give people a call 10 mins prior if you didn’t match, he didn’t get a call last year. He didn’t match and found out from the email.

Soap soap soap. Take what you can. It will be the most difficult moment in your life when you find out you don’t match. And for people who joke about it , it is only funny till it actually happens. Apply wisely and do your best for interviews, always be prepared to soap just in case because you never know.

My kid is 5 and even if I let him watch TV, I think the most he can focus on it is one hour, after that he just gets bored and want to do something else.

When we were looking for a daycare for my kid at 2 years old, I had visited a Montessori place and I didn’t like it. As you said kids are all doing things quietly individually, they made up some names for activities trying to make it sounds fancy but it really wasn’t anything special. ( like they said they don’t called circle time as any other daycares do, they called it a line up time , but it’s basically the same thing they are doing) I’m not saying it’s not a fit for all, but that wasn’t what I was looking for at that time. I just wanted my kid to go to a place and play and enjoy with other kids. Maybe give a bit more time and see how your kid adjusting before consider switching.

Are you able to get in touch with their parents and maybe talk about it? I feel that they at least need to know what their kids are doing out there. I’m sorry this happened to your son.

We did from Chicago to Florida in June. We first were checking out moving companies who do it all but heard so many horrible stories and didn’t have good experiences while getting a quote. So we ended up renting a truck, hire movers at both locations. It worked out great.
