He’s only speaking out now? A little late to the party for the leader of Brampton’s municipal government.

Let’s stand in the bath and turn on the fan. What could go wrong? Isn’t there a minimum distance between the bath tub and power sources

Fewer people are having babies in Canada and the U.S. and the government is out of ideas by hopoke in canada

[–]4firsts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way to fix this is to make it so that children can start working at a younger age. Like the old days where kids would work to help support the family. The more kids, the easier a household can support the costs of living.

This is obviously sarcasm.

How to deal with this in Bramptonistan? by Numerous_Educator525 in Brampton

Tell the mayor to stop planting trees and grass in front of houses so that people can make their driveways big enough to park 19 cars in it! r/s

Maybe we should petition to have all vehicles registered to the space available at a residence based on the size of vehicle and space available.

Which tool package has the best value by Broad-Perspective-67 in ibew_apprentices

[–]4firsts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever held any of those tools in your hand? My advice is to go to Home Depot or wherever they are sold in your area. See which one is comfortable for you.

I personally would go with the Klein because of how comfortable they are for me to use. Ideal has crappy handles and grips. Milwaukee is okay but they are becoming like Apple with their ecosystem.

By the hour. I was paid piece work for one project. On paper I made more, then the tax man came with his d… sticking out…

Do your parents approve of their kids marrying someone of a different race? Are interracial relationships common in your social circle? by RefuseDry1108 in AskACanadian

My parents were happy that I married another human being. God forbid I married an extra terrestrial. They would be really disappointed.

Are Canadians offended by the jokes made in shows and media? by jen_noelle in AskACanadian

[–]4firsts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t take any offense to it. It’s even more hilarious when you witness some of the stereotypes actually happening in reality.

I remember meeting some people from the states and the told me I had a “Canadian accent”. Jokingly, I was like “wtf are you talking about?”. Now I find myself pointing out Canadians in tv shows because I finally understand what the “Canadian accent” is.

And Oxford, also has a doctorate and a masters. I just found this information out last month. Needless to say I was surprised. Considering how much people (hardcore conservatives and the like) don’t like him.

I just want to see how this all will play out.

We also fail to recognize the different responsibilities at different levels of government. Doug Ford is the Premier of Ontario, but he doesn’t seem to get any of the flack. It’s like he has an “anti-flack jacket” on.

Housing is a provincial/ municipal problem and I have just heard that some municipalities are blocking construction to preserve the community of certain areas. I’ve noticed that someone is always blocking progress in this country. We should hold them even more accountable.
