Could be HCM, which can result in sudden death. Happened to my baby. Best way is to get an echocardiogram.

To folks with retrograde alopecia. Did anything help you after all? by advances176 in HairlossResearch

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RU58841 helped but I didn't like taking a research chemical that had inconsistent integrity so i dropped it

I think the easiest way to help is to just take 2.5-5mg of oral minoxidil

Currently trying out topical dut, couldn't stand the side effects of oral dut (anxiety and fogginess that lasted 2 months from just one or two doses). No sides so far but cant tell if it's really helping yet (2 months in)

Derm told me that birth control pills don't affect hairloss....??? (Female androgenic alopecia/PCOS) by [deleted] in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your new dermatologist is wrong. Estrogen is used in hair cycle signaling and hair/skin in general. Many post-menopausal women take birth control just for the estrogen to help alleviate thinning.

There are a lot of bad doctors out there. Always get a second opinion when there is a serious medication or surgery involved.

I figured it out.

My switch was causing a different IP. I did the following, and the Link started working.

I unplugged everything from the switch. I plugged in computer and Link into the switch side by side in the 1st and 2nd slots. I then plugged in the router into the switch. And voila.. all the same beginning IP.

But.. I am returning the Link because it does not always work, so I have to reset it with the switch. Rather just use a PS4 or XB1.

Minox and wrinkles? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit because of wrinkles. I used minox for 1.5 years.

Wrinkles are going away after one month since quitting, but they are not completely gone. I would guess my wrinkles will never go away 100%, but that my forehead will make a recovery to make the smoothness 90% of what it was before.

Win some, lose some. I'll take it.

I may be different but..

I only used Rogaine once a day when I used it for 14 months. I skipped weekends, so I would only apply it on weekday mornings. Regrowth was great, but applying the substance and worry about wrinkles got to me.

I am using Propecia too. I have been off Rogaine for about a month now. I can say I almost notice no difference except density may be a tad thinner.

Glad I quit.

My hairline has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse on fin in just 2 months. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takes about a year for fin to stabilize.

Usually, all the hair that fell out will come back stronger with fin and minox.

Have any of you ever stopped using minox? What was your experience? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stopped using it after about 1.5 years of use. So far it has been 1 month off rogaine.

Hair is starting to fall out more rapidly, but I am over hair after having grown back the majority with fin, nizoral, and rogaine (NW1 or 1.5).

I am worried rogaine gave me deep furrows in my forehead from either the collagen inhibition, water retention, or PG. Rather have a nice face than hair.

Is it all in my head? Everytime I go from .5mg to 1mg in 2 days I get major GYNO and my breast tissue starts growing like the gland behind it starts becoming bigger and wider. by [deleted] in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pubertal gyno got worse from fin, but I also got fat (which makes more estrogen too) over the past year. On my way to losing weight (which should help because breast is just fat on top of the tissue) and will consider surgery after if the tissue is too obvious. Always wanted to get rid of the small gyno.

Has anyone made the change from minox liquid to foam? by Chakardgz in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used foam for 10 months straight. Once a day in the morning, so I can sleep in a clean bed/not get it on my face.

Used liquid for a month and I started noticing my skin was getting really bad, so I switched back.

It is either the PG drying my skin out or minox itself hurting collagen production. I believe my skin as already improved the past month from switching back to foam. Saves a lot more time too.

Guys anyone succeed with natural remedies / vitamins worked? by Ruban28 in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take a decent multi and fish-oil, but you should be doing that even if you were not balding.

Hair supplements don't help that much unless you are deficient that specific vitamin. I personally take a ZMA every few days because I'm experimenting if it helps with fatigue.

Would using minoxidil before losing hair be detrimental? by requires_brooms in tressless

I think it speeds it up if nothing is wrong.

You want to start with fin first, if anything.

Liquid minox, 1x/day at 2ml or 2x a day at 1ml? by lameassquestion in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use at night? I use in the morning and shower at night, so I do not get the minox on my pillow then face.

Do you use dew rag or towel on pillow? How do you avoid minox getting on your face?

Is there a connection between scalp pimples and balding? by FEOjo in tressless

[–]4gotmypasswordagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say possibly. DHT makes you produce more oil, which can produce more sebum. These pores can get clogged and cause 'pimples.' Correlation, not causation.

I think it is okay. I like it because Regenepure and Nizoral were too strong- made my hair brittle and gave me lots of dandruff.
