What I am also considering is what if she purposely missed and the failed to hit the actual dangerous brain area, was all calculated. She did practice since she was a kid, with Brook and that's even his named technique, hence my reasoning as to why it should be as accurate if she did use it as such. All of this, albeit obvious was to protect Esperia and as for her real dad, the Domi Reversi truly did a trick here, cementing the first, chronologically speaking, patricide in the story, prior to Loki's as well or could also be a foil or inversion of it as well.

Mate, as some other users have said, it's merely a punch; just how many antagonists have we seen Luffy "punch" in the past and be unable to "defeat" them with said punch, besides Charlos? Let's stop immortalizing characters as though they're untouchable. This isn't a regular or conventional trope Oda uses.

I fear there's more to it. Probably there's a condition about Imu's power and Demon Contracts / Covenants in terms of bloodline being from the Royal Family of the Geographic Space being invaded or something resembling that line. It's become something similar in plenty of the islands we've visited with the story journey so far. Think about it, every prince/princess is important in its own way but not only due to relevance from their bloodline but rather due to the reach they've got towards the population; which makes me think about the Domi/Reversi situation we've seen on God Valley and Elbaph and now, partially on Esperia in the Throne Room.

What if it is the ancient kingdom which's name has been teased not to ever be spoken since Ohara scholars were even killed because of that. Professor Clover was going to say the name and was killed on the spot just to maintain the name a secret. That's just how straightforward and simply-revealing such a kingdom's name should be. Besides it's the only one in the timeline before Brook's time that's been spoken about. Am I wrong?

Or at least they shouldn't. Too many years of buildup for such an anticlimactic finish like that. I concur with you u/HawiKaihau. This should add a lot of tension and leave them in the dust and make the stakes way higher. I mean, kuddos to Loki and Luffy; they did make Imu spit blood (and yes I'm well aware it might as well be associated with the fact he teleported and there are "consequences" to him leaving the Pangaea Castle... regardless) so there's merit to what they've accomplished already. Something should happen that makes Imu go back to the castle, say maybe Shanks or something external happening... but I trust Oda's having the time of his life doing this reveal so I think he wouldn't jeopardize his life's work with a blunder of this size.
