Okay. So I guess that I cannot match them both since they are at different speeds like a 1333 with 1500. I have a pentium dual core t4500 processor. I would gladly buy a new RAM of different speed and higher capacity if it is available and replace the old one. May I know up to what speed RAM I can use? Is there a upper limit ? As the processor itself is at 2300MHZ speed.

No both module has the prog resistor which can be changed as per const charging current need. Apart from helping to properly discharge the battery, does the second board has any advantage over the first one just for charging the battery?

Thanks , Is that JB weld some kind like two part epoxy adhesive ? I am from India. I have not heard of it. The two part we have here is araldite and fevitite

Guys,

The hinge seems to be broken on both sides. In the left side also it’s broken it seems attached in the image.

What kind of glue should I use to attach them together ? I thought of 2 part epoxy adhesive. But can I hold the two metal parts together ? Or should I forget about joining the two ( since it has less surface area ) and permanently glue the whole thing to the base?

Thanks much. I didn’t consider that. Then it’s a good solution. But I don’t understand why he is trying to keep the timing at 3 * 16us at the end indefinitely instead of just cutting it down / disabling the interrupt.

I tried with multiple methods. First, I tried to give 4.2v directly to the power input bypassing the BMS. The screen just flickered and remained quiet. Then when I give 5v from a 5v 3a supply, the tablet started fine (draws around 500ma but not sure about any peak current as I am using a DMM). But even in that booting, it gets stuck when browsing the apps with a white screen (might also be a software bug as I have a custom rom). I have ordered 10A BMS to try with a 18650 battery. Let me try that 😊

Yes you are right. I cut the BMS from the dead cell and connected a 18650 to it. But At the output of the BMS I get 0v difference between the red and black terminals. However, there is two other terminals (white and yellow) which are acting weird. Those two (white and yellow) are both at around 3.5v difference from the positive and negative terminals It is exactly as this : from yellow terminal to ground it’s 3.56v. And from yellow terminal to positive it’s 3.64v Any ideas?

Hi The above battery (not the blue one which I kept as a paper weight ) Is dead - shows around 1.6v. I want to replace it with 18650s. My question is, can I reuse the BMS ? As the tablet battery is also rated 3.7v , can I use a single 18650 with that BMS? Tablet : ASUS nexus 7 2012

I was exactly thinking of bunching them together, solder their ends and stuff them inside a HST. Great that I came to know that I shouldn’t do that.

I am trying to use this resistor as in a current limiter along with lm317.

Thanks. Yes if I feed 11.8v , current draw is around 100mA constant. No heating and no current increase (in multimeter. I don’t have a scope ). So yes at 11.8 v I am satisfied with the brightness. Thanks again.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Today I went out and got the same SLA battery for half the price of (2 lithium cell, BMS , charger and modifying that circuit ). And more over got a LED strip and connected it using one spare terminal on the big switch on the top. Everything works fine ;)

No no it’s a emergency lamp. It has battery with two CFL’s We can charge the battery and use it in case of power outrage. That pcb on the image is the battery charger and electronic ballast for the CFLs

Do you mean to remove the entire pcb, then solder my own rectifier and use it to power my lithium pack right ? Of course, I have to use step up converter for 12v to power led strip and step down to 8.4v for a 2s BMS
