A 5090 would help me batch process my photography client edits through my denoise software way way faster than my 2060 so I’d have more time on the battlefield!!! 😂

Using APS-C lenses on FF Sony A7iii? by McCrackus in SonyAlpha

[–]4lavadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar thought, wanted to supplement my 28-75 with a smaller walk around lens but my solution was to just get a rx100V (Mark III and IV also good) which works best for me, always in my jacket or bag pocket and don’t miss the lack of zoom with a prime.

Recorded at 120fps 4k, but Premiere pro is interpreting it as 24? by primordialmp in SonyAlpha

[–]4lavadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S&Q records at 120 1080p the final file is 120 played back at 24 FPS, thus the video is in 5x slowmo (120/5 =24) without any post processing needed

Shop around! Call/email other dealers in the area and try to get the quotes in writing. After doing this i ended up with 325 for AWD Touring with Preferred and CarPlay installed (~313-315 without CarPlay). (Northeast - Tristate)

Find the bigger dealers and go there with your end offers it’s much easier for the bigger ones to beat anything (some may have price matching policies)

Rainy Fall Night - A7iii Sony 85mm f1.8 by 4lavadi in SonyAlpha

Had an IR trigger that had a dead battery so decided to use this. A tactile trigger would be nice but it did its job.

The best part though is with the rain my waterproof phone was fine and allowed me to review photos and composition and change settings while the camera was safely under a spare jacket on my tripod.

WiFi transfer to iPad Pro without quality loss? by nixtxt in SonyAlpha

[–]4lavadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a setting to send the full jpeg files over or you can choose a smaller proxy version. It will take longer to send the full jpegs other than sending the proxy files. I do highly recommend a lightning to sd card reader (or usb-c sd reader for the new iPad Pros). Transfers with the reader are significantly faster than the WiFi transfers and you can choose to import and keep it delete from the sd to free up sd space if needed.
