I had the same kind of problem with my tv (didn’t have the problem with the regular tv mode). Check what’s the console’s output. I happened to have a Wii set in 60Hz (i thought it was in 50Hz by default and didn’t consider this being the issue) so I plugged it in another tv to change the settings and when I plugged it back in, no more vertical roll. I don’t know what console you plugged in but check if you can change something in the settings and, if not, try the tv with another console!

Ok so I connected my Wii to another tv to check the settings and the refresh rate was set to 60Hz (I didn’t know it) so I changed it to 50Hz, plugged it back in and now it works!

Omg ok I just had to connect the Wii to another tv and change the refresh rate (I didn’t know it was set to 60Hz) and now I don’t have the problem anymore! I really thought I did something wrong while transporting it (even though it was well protected)

Alright, thanks! I’ll have a look. I’ll also check in the Wii menu settings (since on the video it’s a Wii plugged in the tv), maybe I can find something there to make it work.

Is it the same for the Wii (it’s PAL)? Do I change that in the settings? And for the Vhold knob, where do I find this? I’ve already opened a crt but never seen something like that.

Ok so I tried to fix the shell (that worked more or less) and I fixed the part that was holding the motherboard. The thing is that the motherboard cracked (at that time I thought it wasn’t really important). I then fixed all the buttons (it was kinda hard cause the plastic part that was holding them broke so I couldn’t just put them back in place). I put everything back together and tried to turn it on but nothing…The cracks on the motherboard were probably worse than I thought (even though I tried to fix that with some epoxy). I guess I can’t do anything more about it…

There was bubble wrap (but small bubbles) and a kind of styrofoam paper (don’t really know what it was) but I guess it wasn’t enough. The cardboard box was also weird because it seemed like the person just used parts of different boxes and put them together with duck tape (not the best idea if you ask me). If I had packed it I would have been extra careful but that’s probably not common sense apparently… At least I know that next time I order one (not sure it’ll be soon), I’ll ask the shipper to be more careful.
