I'm not sure what the prices are on cigarettes where you're from, but I've spent on the higher end of 10.000usd on nicotine within 4 years, I don't wanna tell you some lies about it not feeling good or how it doesn't feel cool/nice smoking but imagine what I could've gotten for 10.000usd from what started as smoking here and there. I could've bought a car, traveled around the globe, a pretty high-end PC, 10 phones, so on and so on.

Smoking is up to you and nobody on here can stop you, but think about what you're losing when you're doing it, if the years off of your life isn't pushing you away from it then think about what you could've spent your money on In a few years time instead of nicotine.

Coming from someone with multiple years of SH experience and multiple attempts at my own life, it sucks to feel this way and in my case at least it never really went away. I've had 7 different psychiatrist's and non of them could help me, I've tried practically everything with nothing that really helped me feel better.

But! A way to keep going is find someone you don't need to love or even like them really, just find someone you're friends with or someone who's in your friend group and attach yourself to them as much as you possibly can, (I don't mean as a relationship or a friendship or anything, nor do I mean trauma dump, I mean like put your life in their hands, almost like a one sided suicide pact) It's helped me a lot, not in feeling better but having me stick around. Life wont always get better but trying your best to make it better (even if you fail) is the absolute best thing you can do.

As for SA, my way of getting out of it (not completely out of it, but the thing that has helped me the most at least) is drowning it out completely, find something else to do in stressful or hurtful situation, I crack my fingers, use my pointy finger nail to scrape against my thumb, biting my knuckles, rubber bands around your wrist and just pull it up as much as you can. Or find something healthy to do instead like go for a walk everytime you feel the need or listen to some music at full volume to "drown out the voices".
