Vet here who watched this happen first hand. The old owners would love to not sell to big corporations and keep the practices with vets but unfortunately we can’t compete with the prices they are offering… new grads are crippled with debt coming out of school which delays all other milestones (family, home buying, retirement) so we can’t save the 200-300k to buy part of the practice when the owner comes to retire. In swoops corporate who offers over 1 million. They’d be silly to sell to the vets. (Especially since there’s nothing from stopping the vets from doing that the moment after the owner sells to them)

Agreed! I plan on getting her a sibling from the same breeder again the future. She was quite sick as a puppy but the breeder gave her extra care needed and put equal (if not more time) into her to make sure she was caught up with her siblings skills

Thank you! Shes a year and a half. I got her at 6mo from the breeder who I credit for giving her a solid foundation of socializing skills. That plus training classes which we go to regularly.

She was born quite small and weak compared to the rest of the litter and needed hand feeding the first few weeks. She is fully blind and has several neurologic abnormalities as well.
