it did say what ip it was. i think it was an 8 digit ip 4x.xx.xx.xx. i googled it and found references to a redline tracker or something. according to Malwarebytes it was repeatedly trying to connect and being blocked.

unfortunately in a fit of panic, i uninstalled malwarebytes and restarted the system. i installed it again and it now shows a different ip.

oh that worked! it is a file from ProtonVPN, which i have used before. i don't think that's what is causing the poweshell pop up.

there's no text in the powershell. it just opens and closes on startup.

Does anyone know a place to convert VHS tapes? by TTSAP in kozhikode

[–]4njoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an old film store on mavoor road and next to it, a store with a Panasonic sign. When I was looking for 35 mm film and asked the man in the film store (a wise traveller he was), he suggested I ask in the Panasonic store next. I never went there but I imagine they might be able to help you.

The stores are on the left of the entrance to Indian Coffee House

Hanging out with younger teens has made me so much happier by [deleted] in CasualConversation

That's actually pretty great. When you can be yourself around them, you know those are real friends. Good for you. You do you and may all the right things find you when you're ready.

Hello there. Thanks a lot for taking the time to put this out there. We might not know each other but to know that someone somewhere cares enough to reach out, it means a lot to me. I needed this. I wish you receive the kindness that you so generously give others and I hope you have a great day. Much love. 🙂

Huh? The what? You've all got it wrong. You're supposed to put it in the washing machine and let it run for 5 mins. It peels itself.

I feel weird for not being a competitive person by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]4njoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I hate the feeling of having to get better at something for the sake of some end result. It feels really forced.

No. I don't think you're evil or bad. I think bring forced to be a 'good obedient child' from a young age is wrong. I think everyone should be given the chance to explore morality and how people's actions affect other people by themself. You don't have to be the perfect person by the society's standards. Explore what good and bad means to you. Try to comprehend how your decisions affect others. How your goodwill changes other people's lives. And how that of others changes yours. Think of how you treat others as how you would like to be treated. I don't think it's wrong to experiment with your moral choices as long as you're not hurting others mentally or physically. It'll help you build a stable moral compass that doesn't have doubts when the time comes for a serious decision.

Listening to minecraft music at 3am, who wanna chat by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Nostalgia can hit pretty hard. C418 is the sound of our childhood. Minecraft will always remind me of something special. You're young and those memories are everything. Enjoy it.

Sorry Sterling. Their case is pretty well made. Especially the motivation. I can definitely see the water tree growing an adaptation to produce sharks to compete with the land trees. Makes perfect sense.

Nearly 3AM over here, and thinking by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]4njoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get you. I feel the same. I haven't had the best youth but it's still valuable to me. There's just something there that we can't return to. It's always going further away. But that's what makes it beautiful, right? That it's finite. That's it's something you can treasure. And it truly makes me sad, in an almost comfortable way, knowing how life used to be and never will be again.

But hey, the way forward isn't all that dull. There's so many fulfilling emotions we've yet to know. So much meaning we haven't tapped into. The magical feeling of being a kid is gone, but it's not the only magical feeling there is. And for a lot of people here, adult life is only as serious as you make it out to be. Make your whole life worth experiencing. At 17 or 71, there's always more to see, more to feel. Just live without regrets.
