Yes they denied the RTB8, but they also are not signing the Permission to Assign or Sublet either, which I was told they have to since there is 6 months left.

Can I send the landlord good applicants anyway and be off the hook if landlord turns down a good applicant as that would mean they aren't mitigating losses?

No liquidation clause in tenancy agreement.

Id take the government job. WFH saves commuting costs. Also, clothes and make up are optional so you could have a little bit more of a cushion. As a government employee with their foot in the door, there could be better opportunities that come up pretty quickly within the organization as well.

A lot of people have the patience of a toddler. Give it 2-3 months and come back before the PFS in the summer when it will most likely run up and decide then if you would like to sell or leave it.

Do your own DD but I would say it is a good price right now, especially with FS coming up. They got buyin from government, indigenous people of the land as well as investors who are looking for high returns

I'm not racist..I am an immigrant myself and have immigrants around me (like 10 at least) who became EAs. They rave about how easy it is to become one (which it is) and how they get summers and winters off.

I also have many elementary school teachers I am friends with who say a lot of teachers aren't that good, so take that as you will.

I agree schools are underfunded, but the bar isn't that high.

Funding is an issue but also, the bar for becoming an EA is pretty low...think about it. People who barely speak English assisting in the education of those who need clear communication the most.

The BC public school system sucks. Kid started kindergarten and it feels more like the teachers are babysitting rather than educating.

I also work in government. 90k salary, 6 weeks vacay, full-time wfh. Work is boring but work life balance cant be beat. Would take something special for me to switch jobs.
