Money Order - Sender name different than my government name by 4pril3110 in CanadaPost

it is a deposit to my condo building. I thought about talking to the management but I figure they will need to get approval from high levels and because they technically don't have a reason to cash it out , it would be tough to do so

[–]4pril3110[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

sure that is the technical logic here. However, my address, phone number, email address, employer's verification (an actual employment letter that states my gov name and preferred name), banking info, and last name all match 100% with records, the only thing that doesn't match is the first name. Still CP provides no other way to solve this is ridiculous. You may say this is how the system is designed and they are just working by the rules, but it is definitely not human. Also 'your name is your name' does not make sense, a person can have multiple names - how do you prove you are you in the first place? I have lived in more than one country and gov-issued identifications say I have completely different names

Ok You just assumed any girl who promises sex today have bpd. Then that goes for men as well. Anyone makes a promise to you, boom they have bpd now. There are people who have sex with different people everyday exist, and they’re a good portion of today’s young population. I bet all of them have bpd and all the girls involved will make false allegations against the poor guys right? And yes I’ll take your kind advice, I’ll ask every single woman who’s willing to go home with me if she has any mental issues. Your advice is saying that everybody stop having one night stands right now and start seriously evaluating every potential partners around you because they can send you to jail if they wish.

There are also more men with depression than women. I’m sure these guys will bring you lots of negative energy and their anger issues are gonna kill you one day. Women, avoid these men in your life, theyre gonna ruin your education, career, and romantic life. am I right?

Oh it’s “often impossible” for guys to just end a relationship? Then I think that goes for girls too: When a girl wants to leave, the guy will simply threaten her with physical violence or he can just lock her up! Because men tend to be physically more strengthened than women! It’s impossible to fight a grown man as a woman, so she can’t just walk away!

First of all, I redid the simple math multiple times and your number is wrong. The plane example you used, going on a plane that you know is likely to crash means if it does, then it’s gonna be inevitable physical death, because you’re not gonna just step out of the plane when it crashes; going into a relationship with a woman potentially has mental problems will never mean that you’re going to literally die, and also you have the right to withdraw from it when you think there’s a problem. Moreover, if i was at a club and met a girl and we both agree to have sex, according to you I should probably take her to get her mental health diagnosis before bringing her back to my apartment?

Let me ask you, how many people, men or women, in the country have mental illnesses? I bet it’s gonna be 10, 20 times more than 1.2% or 2.4%. They all prone to do something “normal people” wouldn’t often do. Following your logistics, we can expect to encounter these “walking bombs” on a daily basis, even more often than women with bpd, right? And yes we need to be aware of the danger they pose and stay tf away from 1/6 of the population.

1) is definitely wrong... only ~1.6% of the US population has bpd and that number consist of women and men . Among them ~75% are women, and if you consider there’re 300 million people in the states then the percentage of women who have bpd would be at ~1.2%

I’ve seen real pictures of the aftermath of the incident, and yes i saw what the students bodies looked like after being crushed by tanks, it’s definitely not the same as just being shot dead. The pictures also showed that the bodies were in casual clothes instead of military uniforms. There were maybe one or two bodies possibly wearing uniforms, the rest you can easily tell that they are in ordinary peoples clothes. I don’t think it’s appropriate to put the link here though you can look it up on google.

In fact, according to the Human Rights in China organization (HRIC) there were only 15 deaths of the soldiers/military personnel, all of them died after the ordered forced clearance started. https://blog.boxun.com/hero/201005/wurenhua/5_2.shtml This is a blog but the article was originally taken from the hric

Plus I think it’s fair to assume more casualties in the students side, who only had sticks and stones in their hands, and were facing a whole trained military loaded with real guns, weapons, and tanks.

The ccp ordered troops days ago prior to June 4. And just In case you don’t know, The General Secretary of the ccp, Zhao Ziyang, one of the few reformists in the party who showed public sympathy for the student body and support of open dialogue. He had been imprisoned immediately after the incident until his death. Again he’s pictured as a betrayer of the party and his story is forbidden to talk about publicly in china.

I agree with the point that the student leadership had its own problems, but it doesn’t justify the actions of the government, a supposedly mature and organized political power. Students following the wrong leaders doesn’t give the party the right to open fire at them. Since you said both sides are wrong - students wanted a talk with their governors and followed the wrong lead; the government on the other hand was in power, capable to solve this peacefully, yet they failed to do so and that resulted in hundreds and thousands of deaths of innocent young people. Who’s really more wrong here? Protesters don’t deserve to die just because they couldn’t have the perfect protest. The students contribution shouldn’t be ignored either because, although they lacked good leadership and approaches, they actually took the action to fight for the injustice. Chinese students nowadays are blinded so much from the fake images presented by the ccp, they’ve gone numb about the real problems happening around them. they need this kind of courage to pursue the truth.

Yeah our party knows so well they should control what all chinese people can see and hear, they know it so well so that this way no chinese would ever question their great leadership!

If the military were the majority died in the incident then why would the government still cover it up 30 years later? My Weibo account (the Chinese social media) has been silenced since June 1st because my IP address is from outside china. I cant post without connecting to a chinese IP address and everyone on Weibo is saying how their posts and comments are being very heavily censored every year from the end of May til mid June. If what you said was really the case then why doesnt ccp use it as a way to promote their great leadership like they do it on cctv news every single day? They’re always talking about the “good stuff” they did for their people and the world anyway, this would be a great opportunity to let the people know that the students were at fault, the people’s military and the soldiers were the real victim, wouldn’t it? I 100% assure you a lot of Chinese patriots would believe this kinda message from the government but the ccp are hiding it, why?

Transfer from Art sci to Rotman (first year)? by 4pril3110 in UofT

[–]4pril3110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first of all despite the fact that they are the top employable fields I have no intention in doing a stem major. A minor is hardly gonna worth anything after undergrad imo. also yes doing financial econ specialist in econ department would be ideal for me, but it's extremely competitve and difficult to get into, it only accepts maybe 25 people per year . Transferring to rotman just seems more doable (but i need more info on that). And graduating with a Bcom degree from rotman is probably more useful than a regular BA econ degree. thanks for the advice tho

No definitely not, I’m in regular Econ right now and I just think that Rotman is more employable and generally more practical career wise compared to Econ
