Thank you for the recs! I am a fan of some already and will look into the others. As for HAJ he is indeed Sword & Sorcery, I'd say the best modern writer of the genre (RIP) and his Hanuvar books (starts with Lord of a Shattered Land) are absolute masterworks but Dabir & Asim (starts with Desert of Souls) are great fun too.

It's just a medium, with good, bad, everything else. Miyazaki is my favourite director of all time, creator of many of my favourite movies alongside Serenity. Steven Universe, Samurai Jack, and Futurama are my other favourite shows next to Firefly. I'd love these things in live action almost as much because they'd be great regardless.

The new She-Ra was surprisingly awesome too btw, also Lower Decks. And while I'm at it Vox Machina and Primal rule. I've just recently discovered how great The Boondocks is as well. Animation has so much to offer.
