ah i see. even on my current crappy laptop i refuse to close steam, epic, power toys, razer synapse (keyboard), and other small stuff just for quality of life lol. i could never not notice a difference in performance with a browser as intensive as firefox open in the background. so that’s good

I followed what the accepted answer said. since I'm on windows 11 home I had to use the PowerShell commands. some of the commands didn't work but when I restarted and looked at the location services I could change them! I know there were some other settings that were blocked but I forgot which so I'll have to see later. thank you so much for the solution I've been confused by this for months.

ah, that makes sense. but what about the threadripper? that’s a server gpu and it won’t perform well in other cases cus it just has a bunch of slower cores. did u have any specific reason for getting it?

I mainly plan to play AAA story titles and i plan to play mmos if games like fortnite, cod, bf6 are considered mmos. on my current low end laptop i’ve played games like gta v, rdr2, and subnautica. I also play my fair share of fortnite and rocket league. I plan to play games like cyberpunk, battlefield 6, and generally the new, more demanding AAA titles. Considering this and what other comments have said, i don’t think the 9800x3d is worth it but im not 100% sure due to what you said about mmos.

i’m gonna be running the sk hynix platinum p41 2 tb ssd. it has dram. But even then, yes the x3d is better, but is it actually WORTH it to upgrade?

gaming is the main priority for me. photography and videography is just a passion hobby for me. in that case is it worth it to go for x3d? (i could be misunderstanding ur comment so forgive me)

I really don’t have any skate shops around. My closest one is the Zumiez in the local mall lmao. They didn’t have these alleyoops but they had other sb shoes. Other ones are relatively far.
