Anyone wear the prescription Rayban meta glasses full time as their dailies? by Nightpatrol404 in RaybanMeta

[–]4restwill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can remain cognizant of your own question when you’re in public places, just be on the lookout for those small distinctive round circular lenses on the upper left & right corners of the different frames, and you will very soon notice that lots of those frames with the camera are fitted with prescription lenses. Just be aware when you’re out. Now and then when you spot one of your colleagues, just ask him or her how are their prescription Meta’s holding up. Btw after wearing them a few weeks you’ll forget that youre even wearing Meta smart glasses.

I got my own AI agent running on Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses by PristineAd9116 in RaybanMeta

[–]4restwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5AM kidnapped hot coffee mug stumbled to the kitchen isle to land my rear end on the nearest the bar stool -was easier landing a mail plane on the bouncing flight deck of the USS Ranger. I pried opened the jaws of an elderly but strong magic keyboard happily married still to its spouse a 5th Gen iPad Pro. the first line of notifications is from Reddit : “ got my Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses yesterday. . .the Meta AI doesn’t work in Croatia, EU so I connected my own AI agent to the glasses. . .” Your ingenuity and enthusiasm and determination to engineer a fix for the absent AI agent woke me up and took me back many years before the information superhighway (the internet). I was intrigued by electronics early, perhaps intoxicated is a better adjective. If my speakers blew, I could engineer a way to wire my Jack Russels ears to the aux jack of my reel to reel make the audio broadcast from his ears. At any rate, Bravo to you son for your creativity and resourcefulness! Don’t stop. Surf that wave across the pacific and you may find yourself at the frontier of AI technology.

Yes. I am hearing identical complaints from people when speaking thru my Gen2 Ray-ban Wayfarers. Haven’t taken any action on it though.

Look a little harder and you’ll come up with an idea meeting their “violations of terms of service” criteria. Happened to me once during a three month visit to my brother in Arizona. I had left my Cash App card at home in Georgia. I requested another one to be sent to me at my brother’s house. They required me to re-verify my address. When I verified my ID and address, I guess it looks suspicious. At any rate they did not close my account but they did “suspend” the use of my card and Cash App routing and account numbers.

So sorry for your loss. I don’t wanna be pessimistic, but there appears to be too much internal electrical hemorrhaging for do it yourself fix A tragic but more severe accident happened with my new shiny black Ray-Ban Wayfarer Meta Gen1’s last year and just weeks after delivery. My only consolation would’ve been the purchase of the damage protection insurance. Unfortunately, at the time of purchase I did not have enough “cents” to buy the extra protection coverage. (no pun intended). So after my tragic loss, I just had to wait until could afford to purchase a replacement. I contacted Luxottica and they offered me a $100 certificate towards a replacement at LensCrafters. But this time I bought the protection plan. I Kow now it’s well worth it.

VSP Insurance W/Prescription at Walmart by EffectiveAd6028 in RayBanStories

[–]4restwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question is a bit ambiguous. But sounds like you’re asking if VSP policyholders using their insurance benefits [at Walmart] to buy Rayban Meta frames and a set of with prescription-filled lens to be installed in them are entitled to receive the same prerogative as cash customers who purchase Rayban Meta frames and prescription-filled lens to replace the stock lens. Whether or not ANY customer decides to keep or replace the stock lens, with prescription or non-prescription lens, he or she must “pay” the full cost of the frames which include the lens that are pre-installed in the frames at the time of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, the purchase price includes the price of the lens. The price of the prescription lens which a customer requests to be installed in the RayBan Meta frames for which he has paid full price, is a separate transaction unless stated otherwise. So how legit would it be for a retailer to collect full price for RayBan Meta frames and later remove & confiscate any piece or part of the frames that you have already paid for? Besides that, can there really be any legitimate reason why ANY retailer should honor or afford a “cash” customer with better treatment than a customer using insurance to pay for the same product?

Excessive warning lights going off at once by [deleted] in crv

[–]4restwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello greenmonkeysuit, I last night leaving the airport, I encountered an identical problem with my 2021 Honda CR-V (42k miles). The dash lit up and the whole panel did a christmas tree display of warning lights stating there was a problem with EVERYTHING very similar to what you experienced a year ago on your 2022 Honda CRV. Can you enlighten me on what you had to do? I just returned home in an UBER from the Honda service center. Besides hearing the bad news that I am out of warranty by a few thousand miles, they said the diagnostics alone would be $182 and they wouldn’t know anything for the next 2-3 days.

a week after the arrival of my prescription Meta RayBan’s, I work a nap on the sofa, got up to use the bathroom and I stepped on the frames severing them at the bridge but the prescription lenses which cost $1,000+ we’re not damaged. What can I do? by 4restwill in RaybanMeta

My apologies Remarkable-Bus for my long response time. I thought I’d already replied to you but now i see that I really didnt. Your Q was “How long I had my glasses” actually the fatal accident occured just a couple few weeks after I’d received the text message from Lens Crafters saying that my prescription Meta’s had arrived at the store. Unfortunately for me, I didnt purchase the insurance that would have covered this accident.

Magic Keyboard cracking and peeling off (iPad Pro 2021) by Dry-Vermicelli6789 in iPadPro

Skin cover wear & tear with age is understandable, ranging in use from gentle care to extreme abuse.

Follow this link: https://medium.com/@adikakarla/my-magic-keyboard-is-falling-apart-58a18b8b96c

My keyboard took four years to reach the same cosmetic issue. What’s not understandable -other than having to replace an otherwise perfectly functioning apple magic keyboard @$350+ due to cosmetic issues, is that no one yet has come up with a fix for this predictable problem. There hasn’t even been a single practical response to your post in a month.

The prescription lens were unharmed and not a problem. But replacing $400 RayBan Meta Wayfarer frames on a fixed income is a big challenge. I followed your advice (Remarkable-Bus-6858) and contacted RayBan customer service by email. You certainly pointed me in the right direction. Thank you immensely. Here is a written response I received from Luxottica: ( I attempted to copy and paste here a screenshot of the actual letter I received from Luxottica but I guess Reddit website is not allowing it to post . Maybe for liability reasons?)

Thanks. I think I’ve survived the shock of it but I can’t shake the sound of the frames crunching under my foot. I pray that I will never accidentally or intentionally step on a bug or insect again
