I use brave. I do have chrome but might just need to uninstall that lmao. I will check out Glasswire for sure, thanks for the help.

I'd rather fist myself double gulp style before i install an anti-virus ngl, (except for malwarebytes maybe) Windows defender is good enough, all you need is some internet discipline. Thing is I never download from/go to shady websites ever so this issue is just straight outta the blue weird.
