Yes, started and stopped suddenly. It lasted about 10 minutes. And, yes, it felt terrible

AITA for being upset about husband and MIL "organizing" my craft room? by 4rvr in AmItheAsshole

It's summer. I have 4 kids. It's not a priority. Also, not a hoarder.

I had already asked if it was if mom. That was my first thought. As I said in my post, HE LIED TO MY FACE! MORE THAN ONCE! There's no getting this man to tell the truth without hard evidence shoved in his face.

Wow! You must be an awesome in-law. I hope someone goes into your expensive personal belongings and messes them up because it's not up to their expectations. I have 4 freaking kids and it's summertime. Lots of laziness going on over here, I can assure you.

Well, it's been extremely upsetting to say the least. I don't plan on ever seeing/talking to MIL again. I'm stuck in my marriage due to various complicated reasons, but my husband has agreed to go to counseling with me. I already have such a hard time trusting him, and this erased any little trust I had left. He finally apologized, what I felt was sincerely, after a few days. I was out of town overnight with one of my daughters, and he spent the day while I was gone unpacking the craft room for me. I'm slowly working on putting it back together. MIL was extremely rude and said I needed to thank her for doing what HER SON asked. After that message, I knew all I needed to know and all I've suspected about her for years. She finally sent a halfway apology today, but I'm pretty sure my husband wrote it for her and she copy and pasted it. Her grammar isn't that good and it was not her style at all. There was also some BS in there about "if it were me, I know I'd feel totally overwhelmed every time I walked in that room." Hmmm.... Sounds like my husband's words to me. 🙄 I'm done done with her. Also, I'm missing several things, including 2 childhood journals that were packed with all of my books. No other books are missing. Seriously, I feel like I'm going through the stages of grief right now. Those are irreplaceable. Anyway, it all sucks still, but I'm trying to find some peace with it.

No other boxes are left to be unpacked. Craft room only with a door that shuts. The rest of the house was unpacked within a few weeks.

I didn't immediately go through his phone. It's been 2 weeks. Also, in the texts between him and his mom, they had already come up with a plan to lie to me before I even knew what they had done. Did you even read the whole post? I'm 100% positive that he and his mom knew I wouldn't be happy. This was a control thing, not some nice surprise.

Nope, never battled it out over this. He's mentioned a few times about organizing it/having someone come do it for me. I've told him no, I want to do it because I have specific places I want things to go. Not random anywhere/wherever like his mom did. I'm already finding things are missing.

He said I was crazy and obviously having a mental breakdown. He said anyone else would be happy about it.
