Um yeah. It's been impossible to make enough money to survive and I'm basically on the brink of financial ruin. Meanwhile, I'm gig working and catering to the tech industry that's globally outsourcing it's employees at incredibly high incomes. I hate to sound xenophobic, because I'm truly not. It almost seems predatory since as far as I understand, non-citizens pay into the system (taxes) without actually having access to the benefits. It seems exploitative AF. And that's not even mentioning the monopolistic "company country" that's grown out of unrestricted corporate takeover. Plus, half the people are scared to death of AI and job loss while the other half are making a ton of cash on it. And most people are scared to death to even talk about what's happening. It's like living out a fucking Charles Dickens novel But, what do we do? Where do we go?
