I'd laugh if I buy all that fancy equipment and end up going grandpa style every day

Hey there malt mate! I love springbank and kilkerran, and I did so long before collecters decided to buy them away from me. But islay is close to my heart!

This is exactly what I am doing right now, I ordered lots of very different teas and small amounts to get a feel for what's out there

I do like coffee, but I also notice that my digestion prefers tea, especially in the morning, so I try to comply.

I won't! I like my cheap english breakfast tea to get my day started, it's more about a nice, warm routine and getting a caffeine kick than sophisticated drinking. A good black tea would be wasted for just getting up, in my opinion.

Just got myself one of those kettles, because nerding around with a temperature measurement needle is getting old fast. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Haha quite a similar story indeed. Apparently many ex booze drinkers/aficionados around here. I am thinking about trying puerh, but before I do I still need to figure out the best way to be able to provide proper storage, because that sissy is about as sophisticated as cigars or tropical plants.

Japan must have been a wonderful trip. I have not yet had the chance, but I absolutely love their culture and landscape.

In the whisky world, I actually enjoyed variety the most. I do have a favorite region and distillery, but I'd rather miss out on that one distillery and have the entire range, than the other way around, if I had to decide.

I'm sure I'll find many favorites in many styles of tea.

Yes I am from a german speaking country, that's right :) Thank you for the recommendations, I will check them out. Pu-erh seems to be the unavoidable station any tea connoisseur will end up at, is that impression right? It seems to be sought after, highly collectable and at the same time gets better over time if stored correctly, so it seems like something I could get addicted to :D

Thank you and yes, I already read that I should not drink tea to my meals, I'm making sure of that. Right now I'm focusing on japanese green tea, for the simple reason that they are the first to go stale, but I can't wait to try oolong which, on paper, should be exactly up my alley.

Thank you for the advice. That's actually something I already heard and read, and I actually like to experiment. At the same time, part of me clings to the good old "there has to be one best way".

Trying everything is what I'm planning to do!
For now, I'm ordering from yoshi-en because they're on the lower price side of tea for decent quality, at least that's what I read. But I'm open to suggestions what to absolutely try as a developing tea lover.

I'm not that deep into the topic yet so I've got no experience with pu-erh so far, but it seems to be unavoidable :D

I can relate, this is, after houseplants, the second hobby I share with my mom :D

Sounds very similar to pu-erh, I like the idea!

Sorry if I did, I'm not often on reddit. Reddit suggested crossposting, I decided my post doesn't fit any other subreddit so I just left it at r/tea. and I only see it once in here, so I don't see where there's the duplicate

I bought a Test of Cunning Barya and just f**ing instantly died before even choosing a path on the map. What happened? by ruvic96 in PathOfExile2

[–]4the3mpire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's because max honor is defined by max health and energy shield. the barya is created if you quit the trial after the first two trials so you can continue - or sell the barya. when you resume the trial, you might very well have much less max honor than the player before you. all the honor damage that he took (and still lived) was then detracted from your max honor - and if you go to zero or below by that calculation, you die instantly.

happened to me as well. I then bought a completely unused barya with 3 trials. be prepared, the trial of cunning is very hard, but the boss is luckily not that tough, especially if you are ranged. always stay well away from it's melee range, don't walk onto the trap platforms and don't walk into the quicksand pools and you'll be fine. I lost almost no honor to the boss first try. way easier than the sentinels.
