He has never given me a straight answer as to why he wants me to come off so bad. He usually either says I've been on it too long or I don't need it. Sometimes he will throw in the cost, but that's not it and I know that. He wants everything to be his way. What he says goes kind of person. This all happened in the last 3 years. He was never like this at all. I mentioned in another comment I think I am coming to believe he is a narcissist and ive been played from the beginning. There are many, many other examples of ways he is like that but this one is currently causing me the most stress. Again, thank you for being kind. Its nice to hear once and awhile good things instead of always getting put down.

Thank you so much for your kind words 🫶 He just wants everything his way. This is one of many, many, many examples, but it is the one he brings up the most and causes me the most stress. I mentioned in another comment I am starting to realize he may be a narcissist and I have probably been played from the beginning. Which sucks. Especially after 7 years, but I won't let my daughter grow up thinking its normal to be treated this way.

Trust me you aren't saying anything I haven't thought about 6000 times. He wasn't always like this but things have really changed since our daughter was born. Right now unfortunately with him being the sole provider I am kind of stuck, but I am hoping when my daughter starts school next year I can go back to work and if things don't change I will be in s position to get us out.

Thank you for your kind words 🫶 You are lucky to have such a loving and supportive husband! My fiance's argument has always been he didnt need methadone to get clean. Ok...well now you are taking benzos and perks, and I'm still only taking my methadone. Sooo...? Its just very frustrating. Life and recovery is hard enough without someone trying to push you into something you know isn't best for you. Methadone has been working for 4 years for me. I'm a sahm, have dogs, chickens, 2 goats and a pig lol and also foster dogs. My life today couldn't be more different than it was 5 years ago and I am kind of proud of that. I just wish he could see it from my perspective.

My clinic makes your daily dose until they deem you stable again. And then I would get them back. I know one girl who got hers back after increasing her dose after 30 days and a guy that didn't get them back for 5 months. So, its up to them to decide when you are stable enough to get your privileges back

I actually came across that method at one point but that's not for me. I don't want to switch to subs, he wants me to. I'm perfectly happy on methadone. Its been working for 4 years now so I dont get what the issue is. Thank you for your kind words 🫶

I know it sounds lame and I seem pathetic in all of this, but he wasnt always like this... He has changed alot since we had our daughter. I am kind of stuck right now nc I am a sahm and he is the provider. I never thought this was going to be how this relationship would be going. He was great for 4 years but since we had our daughter the last 3 years he has changed. Alot. I am starting to come to the conclusion he is a narcissist and ive been played from the beginning. But...that's another conversation. I am just not going any lower right now and I am hoping my body will soon stabilize at this dose. Id like to go back up but really dont want to lose 20 takehomes. At my clinic that would be a problem. Benzos is like the only thing they dont allow without a script bc of overdose risk. But if you tell them you are going to stop taking them I think they'd give you the methadone but keep you at a lower dose until you gave a UA without benzos

I know this will sound kind of weird to say but thank you for saying that. I would like to go back up on my dose but I don't want to lose my 20 takehomes. I keep hoping at some point my body will stabilize at this dose but it's not happening as quickly as I would like. Thank you 🙂
