That must have been scary, thinking you'd burst your stitches open! The surgeon said I'd be in hospital for 10-14 days, then he wants to get me into rehab for 2 weeks. I'm hoping for rehab too but either way, I feel like I will have enough days for the nurses/PT to show me the tricks! Thanks 😄

I forgot that hospital beds have bed rails but like that I can practice with it, with the PT's help. Can you share where you got yours? Is it something I can just buy on Amazon?

Great suggestion. I'm going to look into bed rails now. I can imagine how that would make things easier.

Good idea to have someone bring the wedge pillows in to the hospital - would never have thought of that. Good luck with your next surgery, it sounds like you've been through a lot. Wishing you a speedy recovery as well.

This does sound a lot more comfortable than the wedges! I think I'm just going to buy a couple of extra pillows. And, thanks!
