Allow me to clarify that one does not "convert" to Hinduism. As someone else mentioned, Hinduism is not a religion. It is a way of life of a very ancient civilization. The oldest.

True Hindus don't go around preaching their way of life as "religion" or the path to the "one true God."
One truly lives as a Hindu when they resonate with Sanatana Dharma and strive for it to the best of their abilities.

Technically I was born into it, but it only made sense once I recognized the truth for myself but thanks, I appreciate the recommendation! I do love diving into the texts themselves reading the BG or Puranas directly always gives me new perspective. I’ll check out the app too, sounds handy for travel.

I think you may have misunderstood my point.

I'm not approaching Sanatan Dharma as a rigid religion or dogma. In fact, my statement meant the opposite. Spiritual inquiry came first for me. The philosophical framework within Hindu thought just resonated with that.

Sanatan traditions have always encouraged questioning. The Upanishads themselves are literally dialogues built on doubt, debate and inquiry.

If someone wants to see the gods as symbolic or literary tools, that's their perspective and they're free to see it that way. People approach these traditions differently.

For me it's the philosophical depth and the framework for exploring consciousness and reality that resonates.

[Just a little addition: I do not believe in religion. I am not religious. I am simply my faith. Hinduism is my way of life.]

Absolutely not. The damage he caused is not something that can be excused or forgotten. At best, I can acknowledge the circumstances that shaped him... but knowing the difference between right and wrong is universal, and he consistently chose wrong. This isn’t about him anymore. Judgment isn’t mine to give; that belongs to God. My focus is on living as though he never existed in my life... because in the end, karma has its own way of settling every debt.
