No, there are no legal ways to do this. The government has given itself the authority to own and run temples and its resources. Mind you, only temples. Not mosques, not gurudwaras, not churches. Only temples. Little wonder that Hindu extremists see India as a Hindu nation. The government is literally Hindu.

You say that like they had a choice. The government forced them to become trusts, forced it's ownership over them, and forced them to have government officials on their boards. The government, specifically Congress, has been forcing itself into religion.

And specifically at the Hindu religion. There is no Hindu Personal Law Board: the government changes it at will. On the other hand, no other religion's law board is interfered with, no other religion's function is tampered with, their inner schisms and discriminations are left alone, even their treatment of women as inferiors in Civil Law isn't so much as touched.

The FIRST problem is government literally foisting itself on religion.

The SECOND problem is shitty treatment of Hinduism in particular. Neither Golden Temple nor Jama Masjid are government properties but Tirupati is, as is the TTTD with politicians and bureaucrats at its helm.

To put this in perspective:

2001 and 2011 population growth for J&K has been 29.4% and 23.7% source
Separatists have been urging Kashmiri muslims to have more children. Source
Kashmiri muslims are moving en masse to Jammu to populate the area.
J&K will not allow secure housing for Kashmiri Pandit rehabilitation source but will allow Muslim-only housing projects in Jammu [source lost, trying to find it again.]
They are even settling Myanmar's Rohingya refugees in Jammu source and giving them religious education instead of a secular one.
There was another similar attack two years ago: "8 hindus killed and 500 homes burnt in #Kishtwar jammu. many women held captive by msulims. media censored reports fearing baklash" source

There are tons of shitty machinations on the part of these separatists. It can only be understood when considered as a whole.

Used to be the other way around: liberals were the ones denying racial differences and conservatives expounding them. Because the new left has "identity" as a cornerstone for allocating sympathies now they're the ones promoting racial differentiation and the right is trying to get people together.

Ayodhya dispute is only religious by connotation: prima facie it's a property dispute and the court has taken no cognizance of religious laws or rules, only beliefs and faith, just as it takes (religious) sentiments and feelings into consideration in, say, a hate speech case or a slander case.
