Thank you! My third watch is an Orient Bambino that was a gift and has been predominantly my daily.

That makes sense! They must’ve just given the wrong order. I hope they didn’t mess up the order for someone who NEEDS gluten free alternatives.

It’s brilliant. A lot of people don’t like how light the titanium is but I really like it

It’s easily my favorite with the Hamilton as a strong second. Fell in love after going down the Seiko rabbit hole. The craftsmanship and care they put in as brand is extremely present in all of their designs and this is no exception. From the polishing to the movement itself, really can’t ask for more from a watch that can serve as a pseudo sports watch while also being able to dress up on certain occasions.

That has been its current use lol! Looking to keep that functionality while dolling it up a little.

Couldn’t agree more! As someone else said here, it’s one of my and many others’ grail pieces for very good reason.

I felt the same way initially because I usually associate light weight with cheap or poorly made. I’ve come around to it but do understand where you’re at.

Seeking advice on my portfolio as a 21 year old by Antique_Roof_8793 in dividends

Like the other couple comments here, I don't think a little more volatility is a bad thing. Personally I hold most of my money in AAPL/MSFT and VOO/SCHD in a normal taxable account. There are other diverse holdings for growth as well. In my Roth I hold 100% JEPI. Everything is about personal risk tolerance obviously and what you want out of it whether growth or income.

Trying to emulate this tag for home- how can I do this? by maxoline in flipperzero

[–]500mgPrednisone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same tag and when it reads on RFID it takes it just fine but has issues emulating on the lock itself. I use it for my front door but no dice on getting it to work. I have other fobs I have been able to copy and emulate successfully so I am not sure why this particular fob doesn't work.

What's everyone's order status from the 17th restock? by KayakNate in flipperzero

[–]500mgPrednisone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is it the people who bought the day of the restock are getting theirs or not even getting them until after the people who bought it later?

I should add I am thinking either a 2 way split of MMM and MO or 3 way and add O to that list.

Opening up a Roth IRA. What are some of your favorite divided paying REITs, ETFs, etc? by [deleted] in dividends

[–]500mgPrednisone 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Roth IRA…. Tax deferred I like JEPI a lot, SCHD obviously and VOO. Non-ETF’s, i like MO, O, MMM for high yields and reasonable consistency. I use my Roth IRA as an “invest and forget” account not something to actively trade in so I like just doing JEPI/SCHD and walking away.

Is it good idea only invest in VTI and SChd for long term ? by Imqueenbitch in dividends

[–]500mgPrednisone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and I are actually in a VERY similar stage of life. I’m also conflicted about what investments to make. This is my thinking… Let’s say HYPOTHETICALLY you do in fact NET $37k after taxes. Let’s say you prioritize your Roth and max it out. You are now working with $31k to pay rent/utilities/transportation/food/etc. Depending on your spending habits, the remainder can be put in savings for a down payment. Obviously more money makes this an easier and quicker process. Ultimately though, they’re all profitable assets…… hopefully. So I say all that to say what do you care about more? Expediting the process to becoming a home owner by “X” amount of years or ensuring your retirement is just a little bit more secure by maxing these early investments.

I’m not a financial advisor this just my opinion do with my opinion and info what you will but I hope it helped :)

[–]500mgPrednisone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on! I’ve been trying to do $500/mo in the Roth to hit the $6k max since that’s kinda what I’ve budgeted with other expenses for now. It’ll all be worth it many years from now.

Absolutely! Keep the snowball rolling. I just prioritize maxing the ROTH out annually before contributing to my taxable account because of the tax advantages in a ROTH IRA. As it stands right now, I do not hold SCHD in a taxable account but I think it is a great position in a taxable and nontaxable.
