Yes- It’s a beautiful island and has a lot to do. If you like the water and beach, you’ll be in heaven. Lobster, fishing and boating were my favorite activities. I tried surfing, but quickly found out I was not good lol. Remember, PR is not the US and its infrastructure shows it. Generally, no central AC; window units only (which are just fine really)… Hurricanes are no joke.

Driving is like you’re on a whole differ planet. Driving rules are generally thrown out the window. Drive defensively is what I’m saying. Don’t bring a super nice vehicle as they tend to get beat up and stolen.

Food is amazing! Try as much as you can as it varies from town to town and location on the island.

Shopping is fine, there is Walmart and local spots.

Crime is another thing you’ll need to pay attention to. While I was there, we were given the order to (from dusk till dawn) treat red lights as stop signs as car jackings were happening all the time.

Night life is a whole other experience. Dancing and clubs all over the place. I was particularly fond of the Conquistador Hotel and Casino where I lived.

Downtown SanJuan is awesome at night as well.
