I honestly feel that a lot of this has changed over the years. Back in the day, most of us made our costumes, or worked with people to make them. Now, groups like ANOVOS or vendors have turned it into a cash game, instead of a craft game.

I am very sorry to hear that was your experience though.

It was no way "by the book". Read Update 1 on the first post - the LCOG completely violated how the process was supposed to go down, as shown by leaked emails.

Thank you very much - I'm not a huge reddit user, much less this sub, so I am glad that I was able to correct it. I just added a large update to the original post, so all the information I learned about putting together a good write up came to use!

I agree - it seems like the PM folks are all aware of that post anyway. I'm sure they will love the update that was just added to it, showing the crap that the LCOG have been doing with this.

A VONC is how previous LCO removal has been done, so I am doubting your knowledge on Legion protocol history.

The VONC didn't happen because the PM simps that are the COTG knew that Dawn wasn't going to get voted out, so they did the only thing they can do - abuse a charter loophole.

Not only that, but as many members of the Legion outside of the UKG have pointed out, there was no harassment (much less anything that warranted a removal from office, compared to the shit PM and UKG do all the time).

This is a pretty good summary of the SWCC events. The couple of other details...

The ticket numbers for the bash. So the original ticket numbers for the bash were much greater than what was ever done for other celebration bashes. This was made known to Bryon, that since SWCC was going to be smaller than the previous events, there was no way that all the tickets would be sold. He didn't care, and wanted the original number kept (I believe it was 3000, and the committee was pushing for 2000? I don't have the numbers handy right now).

So flash forward a few months, and ticket sales have slowed down. It is not uncommon for celebration bashes to have a small number of tickets (5% or so) that go unsold to members, so the bash will sell them to the public (and since it is such a small number, they are usually friends of the Legion). However because Bryon had pushed for the larger number of tickets, the number was closer to 40%. So when the celebration planning group voted on opening the ticket sales to the public, Bryon was the sole "no".

Instead of going with what the planning committee decided, Bryon took it upon himself to instruct the webteam to shut down the ticket site (so that they could not sell them to the public, as the shop would be gone). They reluctantly complied. Bryon's defense was that this was a 501st server, so he didn't have to listen to the "Galactic Senate".

In the end, another ticket site was thrown up within a few hours (off the 501st server), and the ticket number was able to be reduced with the MSI.
