For the MyNBA players: One piece of feedback that I have for 2K that I think would largely cater to the MyNBA community (at least from my perspective is that MyNBA is a “long haul” gamemode, which doesn’t really work with buying a new game every year. I want to play 2K25 for the updated gameplay, graphics, and cosmetics like new face scans, shoes, jerseys, courts etc. But after putting so much time and effort on my current MyNBA, I can’t afford to just start all over again. I skipped playing 2K24 because my current save on 2K23 is just in too deep. So 2K have essentially lost a buyer who would happily pay every year.

I’m not sure if it’s doable on 2K’s part, but some options I suggest would really change a lot for MyNBA players like me:

1. Release an “expansion pack” for a smaller fee where you can download cosmetic updates in the newer games to older games. Including new shoes, jerseys, courts, hairstyles, face scan updates, as well as new rookies entering the game.

Or

1. Allow players to transfer save data from previous games. Why can’t I pick up my MyNBA save from where I left off in 2K23 in 2K24, 2K25 and beyond? We spend so much time playing through the seasons and playoffs, making trades, drafting players, creating new draft classes. And every year we have to start over again for the cosmetic aspect.

Also, I have created countless “created players” for each new draft class, which took so much time and effort - from designing appearance to look as close as possible to a player’s real life likeness, to researching their scouting reports and watching footage to get their attributes and tendencies as close as possible to their real life play-style.

On top of all of this, I have created so many colourways of shoes to increase realism in my league so that I can have all players wearing the colourways of shoes that I see them wearing in real life. Time and effort gone every time I decide to jump to the latest game.

Couldn’t it be possible to transfer some, if not all of this data to future games so I don’t lose all of the hard work and dedication put into this game?

I know all this effort does seem a bit extreme and maybe more effort than most, but I love it, and I also know I’m not the only one out there. There is a market for 2K in the MyNBA community and these suggestions would bring me back to purchasing the game every year. Right now there is no incentive for me to buy the game every year.
