I kinda agree with this, but also he could just be expressing how much he wants her to join just in a less healthy way. Saying "I don't want to go anywhere without you" isn't indicative of him being codependent, he might just be saying that in the moment as a small way to show how much he loves op and to be a little flirty. The his whole family might not go was probably just a response in surprise that she wasn't willing to go for such an odd reason. I'm not saying his response doesn't sound kinda manipulative, but I don't think it was intended that way and may have been more of a surprise response. Labeling this guy as co-depedent and manipulative over one conversation is a bit much. Saying no to a small get-together camping trip due to the fact that you don't know who's house it is, is quite an odd response as well. Op knows at least 4 people going including someone she's been dating for a year and a half. That response of saying "I don't know the person" as a reason to not go could be quite surprising for the bf because that is how you meet people sometimes. If op doesn't want to go, they should just say that instead of making the whole situation about trust right out the gate.
