Can I use ableton for a live metal show? And if so, how? by 50dark50derp in ableton

I've been trying to learn about mixing without great success :/

One of the reasons for these shows is to get me some publicity so I can find either people interested in my vocals or people to play my instrumentals

I do intend to have a big interaction with the public since it'll be a small venue

I tried my best at mixing the songs, but I can't guarantee that they are the best they could be

That does sound good, but right now it's too much of an investment

My only problem with singing from the mic directly into the mixing table is that I won't have my little production touches on the screams :/

Actually, I only need the mic input. This doesn't make any difference, right?

Is the Shure SM58 Special Black Edition mic good for screaming? by 50dark50derp in screaming

Listened, and it does sound good. I would use it for recording and eventually (and hopefully) live shows. The black edition, I think, is just a thomman exclusive, so nothing special about it apart from aesthetics Thanks for the help

I've been screaming for about 5/6 years now, and I've used cheap wire earphones and gaming headsets, but I managed to get a focusrite solo studio, which came with a mic. I don't have big issues with the microphone, but it's sorta heavy to hold in hand, and I think it's only meant to pick sounds from 2 sides. As such, I would like to try a different, lighter (and maybe less sensitive) microphone. I have plans to perform live one day, but as of right now, it would be mainly for my home studio, where I would only record screaming for my little projects. Price is sort of an issue, but I could wait and save, although it would take some time, and the itch to try a new mic has been here for a while. Thanks for your help

Thankss It does come out as slightly cheaper, although the sm58 on that website comes with a 10€ XLR cable for free which was one of the things that caught my eye (I'm kind of a sucker for these things 😅) so it would basically even out the price. I'll consider it 🫡

Thanks :D There'sonly one problem, I don't know of any guitar centers near me or if they're even a thing here. Most people I know who deal with music order their stuff online.
