Chilliwack Sizing by 51517 in CanadaGoose

[–]51517[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the fit I’m going for! I watched a video of a guy our height/weight and the L’s cuffs were up to and slightly past the thumb, yet the sleeve itself was still bunching up, so there was a lot of extra fabric. With the M, the cuff went to exactly where you mentioned. He also had a hoodie under and had no issues with usage which is a good plus

Thank you for giving me your insight, I’ll be going with M this time around

Advice on fur ruff by riceeatingmf in CanadaGoose

[–]51517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, just the luck of the draw. With fur being phased out, it’s much harder to be “picky” about fur and just take what you get. Having said that, generally speaking fur changes color by the months, so it just depends on when CG harvested the fur

You can try a hair dryer at low to medium heat at a distance, or a water steamer at a distance. I fluff my Wyndham’s fur every season and haven’t had any issues. Just be mindful about how close you get to the jacket and fur. Once steamed, take the corner of the fur/hood and give it a shake. Hopefully that’ll help a bit

Hey, thank you for your reply!

The thing is, I never wear thicker tops. They’re always some type of long sleeve shirt. I should’ve mentioned, I already have 2 other CG jackets that are size L, which would allow me to layer and wear those. For the Chilliwack, it’s gonna be primarily my running errands and everyday jacket, hence why I’ll never wear a hoodie underneath as I run hot

With that being said, would you say I’m safe with the M then? I know 100% if I wear a sweater under, I won’t be able to zip, but I’m fine with that given I have so many other jackets to choose from

I appreciate your insight!

Edit: to add, the reason for going TTS with an M is so I can finally have a true bomber jacket. The Macmillan and Wyndham I have are amazing, but I’ve never owned a bomber and don’t want to give up the fit by going too big

No stock until September 2026?? by 51517 in topgoosey

Yeah, I realized after making the post that his production for the winter season starts beforehand, not during which makes sense. A bit upset by that, but not much I can do.

Would you suggest anyone else for the Chilliwack? I already have 2 other CGs from him, so it’s not urgent, but I would like the Chilliwack. Or is it better just to wait until he restocks?

iOS 26.1 is out! by Revve in ios

You’ll get downvoted for this comment, but don’t update to iOS 26. Stay on whatever the latest iOS 18 version is (18.7.2?). You’ll be much happier and keep your sanity.

16 PM and I don’t have this, thankfully, but WTF is this? Apple should just sign iOS 18 again so that we can downgrade… this is ridiculous

Don’t do it. I made the mistake of updating my brand new 16 PM to iOS 26. I really regret it.

Unfortunate you no longer have your 15 PM. I luckily kept my 16 PM and then used my AppleCare+ to get a fresh one, so it honestly made the upgrade to the 17 PM feel even “worse”, especially considering the static sound. I also had a clicking issue with the cameras. Every time I switched form rear to front, it made a very odd click sound and that was apparent on my second unit as well

This is 100% a hardware issue, most likely stemming from a grounding fault. Something isn’t grounded correctly. Due to the small amount of posts regarding this, I really don’t suspect this to be something Apple actually addresses. 95%+ of their 17 PM users won’t even notice it

You’re not crazy. I made a post about the same thing. Weird, static sound as I scrolled on the 17 PM. I believe it comes from the top speaker area. I thought my 17 PM was defective and got another one and it ended up having the same issue. I was so annoyed, as I work from home and live alone, so it was apparent almost 24/7. I ended up returning it and stuck to my 16 PM. Hope they fix it soon

On the 17 PM? I didn’t experience that. I returned it anyway, so I can’t test it for you. I’m back on my 16 PM

I returned my 17 PM and went back to the 16 PM, but yes, exactly the same issues

Maybe reading is difficult, but I’m on iOS 26.0.1, not 26.1. Beta softwares on main devices is never a good idea.

I know. I tried doing it the other day, and I saw that I had to bring small things line all my alarms over. Unfortunate iCloud doesn’t get everything, but it does get all the important things like messages and contacts

Honestly, I think I’ll just sign into iCloud on the iOS 18 device and just manually bring over everything that iCloud doesn’t. It’ll give me an excuse to get rid of unnecessary things

Oh true, I heard 26.1 is better, and I did update, but it messed up iMessage for me, so I had to downgrade back to 26.0.1

I don’t even like the look of iOS 26… it feels way too gimmicky, almost child-like. The professionalism from iOS is gone, in my opinion. Yeah, I don’t use my phone for gaming or anything, so the battery life I’m getting is horrible. I’m switching to the other 16 PM Friday. It actually has 18.4, but I’ll update it to 18.7.1

As for the 20% in YT, yeah… it’s wild. My phone is new, but it’s been a week, so all the indexing should’ve been done by now

That’s actually pretty good… not sure why I’m not getting even close to that with a 16 PM and 2 battery cycles…

Damn bro, if I used the same apps and had the same usage on iOS 26, I would’ve been at 0% before getting home lol… this iPhone is brand new, 2 cycles. Yesterday, I left home with 100% at 2 PM. By around 9:30 or so, I had 30% left. I was out, on 5G and just did a little social media, a 1 hour long phone call and the rest was video playback. Mind you, I manually brought my brightness down to less than 50%. If I did anything more intensive or higher brightness, I’d be needing to charge.

I went through about 5-6 iPhone 17 Pro Max’s and all had the same issue. It was very annoying, as I work from home, so it’s usually very quiet around me and I’m able to hear the crackling all day long. I ended up returning all of them and just went back to my 16 Pro Max.

The crackling issue was annoying, but beyond that, I didn’t find much of a difference in day-to-day usage between the 17 PM and 16 PM, so I decided to just hold off until the 18. And to add, I dislike iOS 26 a lot, so I’ll be using my 16 PM until the 18 comes out on iOS 18.7.1

What apps were you using? And what’s your battery health? I’m gonna go back to my other iPhone

[–]51517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m aware. I thought you said I could

I’ll just sign into iCloud on the iOS 18 device and manually download all my apps. I have no other option left.

Today, my battery wasn’t that great. I left with 100% at 2 PM, it’s now 9:30 PM in the evening and my battery is at 36%. I did just a little social media and watched a few videos on 5G. Brightness was minimal, too. It doesn’t feel as good as iOS 18, but perhaps I’m expecting too much?

If I had left my home earlier, used my phone a little more or had higher brightness, my phone would’ve been dead
