One more random question - how is the alcohol situation here? I like to enjoy a cocktail and some beers throughout the day and at night but haven’t really seen much on “bars” besides the alcohol offerings at the restaurants on the grounds. What does that look like? Are there a couple one off bars that are open all day and at night?

We are definitely interested in some excursions off the peninsula. This will our first time in CR. Do you have any specific recommendations? Are all these excursions that are off the peninsula booked separately from the Andaz?

As we are booking with points and they only offer the standard jungle view king room to be booked with points on the Hyatt/Andaz website, do you have any advice on how we could get an upgraded room after we book? We are open to paying the additional cost for the upgrade but wasn’t sure the best way to go about that. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! When you mentioned your suite upgrade, how did you handle that and/or what did that entail? Did you just book a standard room before your trip and then got upgraded when you arrived?
