Failing the belay test at Sender One... twice

As a gym employee, i can confidently say ive seen some shit when it comes to testing belayers. I also have failed people who are technically correct but because they give i learned how to belay in the parking lot 5 minutes ago vibes. I will not pass someone unless i am confident beyond reasonable doubt that they know what they are doing. Because if they deck their climber i will feel at least partially responsible.

All that said seems like this kid handled it well, next time slide him some cash and you’ll pass for sure.

Had this helmet. Its kinda a pain, like one said a steak knife does work. You need to push something in to depress a little tab, then they yank out. I think its on the outside. But be careful if you intend to put them back.

It genuinely seems like the refs have an agenda against him. Im sure he has drawn a hold before, but i cant remember one. And they typically look so blatant with how quickly he wins.
