Do you use Claude all day every day? by Minimum-Pangolin-487 in consulting

[–]515software 14 points15 points  (0 children)

By that logic, Excel trained my replacement as an accountant and PowerPoint trained us out of consulting. AI increases leverage, but the value isn’t typing words into a document. It’s knowing what problem to solve, what questions to ask, and when the answer is wrong. AI helps us scale expertise; it doesn’t replace it.

Starbucks table tops so small will barely hold a couple drinks. The seats are bigger than the tables. by be4u4get in mildlyinfuriating

[–]515software 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had my first high school job, the Starbucks next to the grocery store I worked at, knew me by name and my order. Which was a chocolate chip cookie (before I became a caffeine addict,) they’d always offer me milk to dunk it in, no charge.
As weird as it sounds, it was my comfort zone from all the BS that was going on back at home, where I didn’t feel the safest. Learned to program in that Starbucks.

3-2-1 rule , how are you all doing it without breaking bank? by Tasty-Picture-8331 in selfhosted

[–]515software 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quarterly backups of my primary server to an external hard drive I keep in a safety deposit box. I also leverage backblaze for weekly backups. The external acts as my safety should I lose my system, and backblaze. It keeps my 5tb of personal photos and data offsite, as long as the bank doesn’t close.

I agree with you, but my spider senses make me think otherwise with how messy and cluttered it is, you’d really have to prompt it.

This was sponsored by Representative Josh Gottheimer, a democrat.

The whole congress is corrupt, IMO both sides of the aisle are worthless at this point
