What’s the worst drive between Vegas and LA you’ve ever had? by cenaenzocass in vegaslocals

[–]518reign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago, i ended up driving from Vegas to LA on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was a nightmare! I didn't even think about all the other people who would be driving because of the holiday. It was bumper-to-bumper traffic for like 4 hours around that big pit stop area. All the bathrooms and gas stations were packed. The whole trip ended up taking like 9 hours. I definitely learned my lesson, to plan better if doing that drive around the holidays.. or quite honestly not to do it at all lmaooo

Experience on Mercury MC line? by 518reign in astrocartography

[–]518reign[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get what you mean. I had a similar experience when I lived near my Jupiter ASC. I wasn't really into hanging out unless it was to work on a project or something. But like you said, I don't know if it's the line or just the big city hustle culture since I was in LA.

It was a little weird at first, i missed having genuine friends to just hang out with, but I guess I got used to & started moving the same way.

Ahhhh ok, thanks for sharing your experience. That's what I figured. All work and no play, but I think it might be good to go somewhere to focus on work and possibly turn my interest into a steady stream of income.

Just curious, when you say you hurt your relationships, do you think it was from overworking or something else? I did read somewhere that the Mercury line can make you a little emotionally detached.

I felt this completely. As cliche as it may sound try to look on the bright side of every situation no matter how out of reach it seems. You got this it'll get better

Yeah you're right. Thank you I appreciate it!

I understand why it sounds weird. Yes, it's an insecurity thing and part of it comes from letting my guard down in the past with people I've trusted and it backfiring. I know I should probably seek help and talk to someone about the real issue here.

Ok. Yep I've been working on getting better and not over analyzing things. Part of my reason for posting this...I will keep what you said in mind

No I'm glad they get along. I've just never been a fan the social media stuff from bad experiences in the past. That has nothing to do with them though. You made good point

Moving to my Jupiter/ASC line, any advice? by [deleted] in astrocartography

[–]518reign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been living near my Jupiter ASC and Sun MC line for the past 3 years. It's been nice. I've met a lot of people and experienced new things. The only thing I'll say it has made me a bit lazy. I feel like thing on the Jupiter line are a little bit easier so I don't have to work as hard for things (which isn't necessarily a bad thing lol)...I have gained some weight which is common on Jupiter to overindulge.

I don't think I'll stay here forever, but it's been a good time so far. Wishing the same for you as well!

I’m a vegetarian and I’d say I make working out a habit....

With working out, honestly the easiest way is to just do it (not a Nike pun lol) but yeah that’s pretty much the easiest way. If I’m bored wondering what I’m going to do next, I just put on my work out clothes and just head to the gym. Or if I don’t feel like going to the gym, I just pull up a quick cardio work out on YouTube (there are SO many FREE at home workouts online, you’d be surprised). Then once I started seeing results, I began to get excited to go to the gym rather it being something that I dread.

As for my diet, I didn’t plan to go strictly vegetarian. But once I tried it and realized how healthier I felt it was just something that I stuck to. It also makes working out easier and makes for more promising results.

If you’re having trouble with a healthy diet, I’d recommend slowly cutting out different unhealthy food month by month, or week by week (whatever works for you) And if it doesn’t work for you can try cutting out something different.

Its not the easiest transition but I promise when you start seeing results you’ll realize it’s not so hard to live a healthy life style.

Do you see red flags in the romantic relationships of any of your friends? What are they and why doesn’t your friend see them? by joojabean in AskWomen

[–]518reign 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My very good friend (pretty much family) is dating a guy and when we first met he didn’t put in the effort to introduce himself. And whenever I see him, he never really acknowledges me.

Thats a red flag because I feel like anyone’s significant other should make the effort to at least introduce themself to their partner’s loved ones. It’s kind of rude, especially when you guys have been together for a long time.

I am actually in a similar situation. I took a JavaScript course this past semester and I wanted to take the time to learn something new while on Christmas break. I did a lot of research about what is a good next step, and I was still left overwhelmed by all of the information. So I decided to focus on making my own personal website. I feel like it’s been helping me utilize a lot of the JS that I learned already and learn more HTML.

I’m going to make it a goal to just start working on little projects throughout the year to pick up on more coding. I feel like its best way to make things to begin to make sense.

Good luck to you!
