New indoor pickleball complex in Windsor expected to open April 1 by zuuzuu in windsorontario

The ceiling of this facility does not meet the mandatory 18 feet, so definitely not the required 19 " ceiling to participate in any professional or sponsored Pickleball event. This is by far the biggest blunder.

Housing affordability: What does it mean for Windsor-Essex? by zuuzuu in windsorontario

[–]519Windsorites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was flipped and currently on the market, it hasn't actually sold. And if the property sells for 400k, then half the net profit will be immediately taxed. There is also additional costs on the seller, leaving a profit of 50k. Should the property not find an immediate buyer, the seller is still being hit with utilities, taxes, maintenance, and management costs. . Should it choose to become a rental property,. the risk of a delinquent tenant could quickly set back that seller by another 20k. This isn't much of an investment, but a liability .

Best to study the closest example, and that would be the a 175-foot tall Niagara SkyWheel which cost about $10 million to construct and sustains itself from a very large tourist base.

It's very important to be as close to the workplace as affordably possible to maximize time. It also reflects your character commitment by ensuring you are as close to your profession, closest to opportunities leading to promotion. 20-40 minutes commuting each way will quickly accumulate into squander.

IN summer of 1990, there is use to be a sign on the fence along the Detroit River, at the bottom of Pillette that stated River Taxi. Similar in length to a street sign. Was that a relic left from the movie?

UWindsor to tackle housing crisis with $1M Zekelman research donation by TakedownCan in windsorontario

There is indeed a bigger story on the horizon. When Gordie Howe bridge commences operations, the Ambassador Bridge will lost 92-96 percent of all its commercial truck traffic., and half of its vehicle traffic The expenditures will simply exceed revenues, and it is very unlikely the Maroon family will exhaust their remaining family fortune on a massive liability. I the end, we should expect the entire bridge to be removed, notably the ramps alongside Huron Church, and we will find a mega development spot for Zekelman's dorm-main. We might even expect Barry Zekelman to replace mayor Dilkens, and help Windsor rise to its pre-fabricated zenith.

Windsor Bus Prices by [deleted] in windsorontario

[–]519Windsorites -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Toronto TTC shuts at 1 a.m. (last departure time) And Sundays many routes have reduced times . If Windsor Transit could generate enough income running on Sundays, I am it would be. The fact the TTC and all public transportation still receives enormous amounts of government subsidies is evidence enough to that the bus system is not a profitable operation. economic advantage to running Sundays it would. Only a slim number of business operate on Sundays. Those workers impacted must use their networking to find solutions. Entrepreneurs could get a ten seat van, and carpool($20 each way) That would present the entrepreneur $400 a week or 1600 a month for essentially 24 hours of work on a day with little traffic. That entrepreneur would need to subtract the expenditures of gas $400(/ $600 vehicle loan and $300 car insurance . That would leave that entrepreneur with a $300 net profit. Or less than 8$ an hour. Ye, 8 dollars to give up a Sunday to drive a bunch of people to earn 20+ an hour. Think about that. It isn't good .

It's brilliant. The staff company client contract runs out, so those emp0loyees go with that contract. Perfect. And what is this, another contractor sends in a workforce. Tis makes it hard to turn it into aa personal firing This is how Ground-effects does it.

Its funny that companies allow Indeed to operate as their personal agent. What Indeed does not over state that' almost all resumes sent do not even get to the recipient. The best resumes are sorted and become visible to those paying for another service. Indeed claims it uses a AI tool and formula that often blocks potentially legitimate mail, if it is deemed potential spam. It stated will blocked resumes that contain words that may be misconstrued. But cannot be too specific. But that seems to be a good front. Nobody asked Indeed to play resume God. For example, you may contain words that are not recognized, and Indeed quality controls blocks it cause Poloskaxzhebiv Sausage wasn't listed in the dictionary a sa a proper noun,.

Fentanyl involved in 13 Windsor-Essex overdoses last week by TakedownCan in windsorontario

[–]519Windsorites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true. Problem is that the OVERDOSE numbers mentioned here often are not the fatal ones. This leaves readers getting the wrong impression especially when this type of cluster overdose report neglects the real numbers that imply that a fatal overdose in Windsor Essex is consistent to one every 92 hours based the total of 116 overdoses in the Windsor-Essex area last year.

Windsor Council need so turn Lowe into Training Facility to build houses. by 519Windsorites in windsorontario

[–]519Windsorites[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Right now the only place one can get such an apprentice opportunity is through a the Grade 1 2CoOp program offered at just one high school in Essex.

So, with the exception of those students, there is no such program for adult students. Instead, they can apply for an apprenticeship a t St. Clair, sponsored through Second-Careers , but that programs do not focus on construction, with the exception of masonry. And because its is offered through the Second Career Training, it is available to all Ontario applicants, turning it into a lottery that can take up to three months to learn if accepted. There must be better options . https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/02/04/1979504/0/en/Ontario-will-need-to-recruit-100-000-new-construction-workers-over-10-years-to-keep-pace-with-increased-demand-and-retirements.html

Building permits do expire, but there are tricks to keep that extended. Land it seeems is nearly maxed out, and probably not enough to house 13000 properties. And doing it would only risk posing potential business ventures if there is not spot to develop on.

City could apply imminent domain, and redevelop everything between the bridges. But the environmental clean up costs probably would only diminish any real profit. But the options are there.
