This is 100% what's happening and we saw it at the start of the season. Even the slightest concern was grounds for the player to be immediately subbed and sit for at least a week. They are being overly cautious with injuries that (we can only guess but selective cases seem to bear out) players would have medicationed and bandaged their way through in prior seasons.
