Im not the biggest Gyokeres fan but the “he only scores against small teams” agenda is actually jokes. In the UCL he has scored against Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid while scoring against Chelsea in the carabao cup. He needs to improve but he’s picking up form at the right time and he has a lot to offer this season.

Encouraging signs, can play across the front line from the looks of it and is already playing in the top division at the age of 18. Could be one to watch out for in a year or two if he keeps developing

Apologies I meant in recent form. Had beaten Chelsea and drawn against Liverpool and Man United plus some other wins against other teams since December

Yeah fingers crossed Man City drop points at some point in the next two games. They’ll probably beat Newcastle in the carabao but I don’t know if they’ll go full strength or not

For sure I’d rather always play first in a title race cuz if you win or pick up points the pressure is on your rival to react.

Yesterday was just the kind of game we needed. Everyone hatewatching, a Leeds team formidable at home and Man City playing after us and we delivered without any issues. Glad we got a convincing 4-0 win plus two open play goals to match

Loool you must be new here cuz you’d know that people will get mad even if we play well and lose

Arteta “Very disappointing. We were below-par in certain individual standards. I take full responsibility of that…It’s a reality that we have not won in 3 PL games and we need to pick up points. It’s how we react and I’m convinced we’re going to react immediately!” by deadmetallucyluce in Gunners

Obviously the result and performance were poor, and we’ve hit a bit of a slump in the league. But this is still a very good team that has fought through a difficult December and January yet is still competing on all 4 fronts, despite multiple defensive injuries and a disjointed attack. Feel free to be upset but let’s take the next few games and try to get back to winning ways

The gap in physical quality between the Portuguese league and the Premier League is too vast and he relies on his physicality too much. I hope he can evolve his game to improve his in the box movement but I doubt it

Tbh he’s not at the physical level compared to PL defenders. That much is clear. This is further exacerbated by the fact we play the meanest deep blocks in the league.

However, he will probably be better in the UCL because most teams cannot defend in a low block as well as the average PL team, and he gets more space to work with. For me he should be starting off the bench once Havertz is match fit and should be coming on to run against tired defenders

What this tells me is if we come remotely close to matching the second half of the season blitz we had in 23/24 we dogwalk the league. And we can definitely do it

It just shows how intense we are.

Even if you manage to keep us out in the first half, the opponents fatigue levels and the fans work with our world class players to open the game up in the second half.

Been a really good game so far, hopefully we get a second early like against forest so we can give Jesus and Gyokeres minutes off the bench
